read blackice c-a-r-e-f-u-l-l-y after you install it, you'll see that it says "firewall layer could not be loaded" or something to that context. Therefore, BID does NOT work. Perhaps an old version does or something, I dunno.

hahaha, dumb fag. It includes WMP 8 (winamp sucks compared to that, infact, winamp just sucks cuz it makes my bass sound like a lawnmower). It comes with Movie Maker (lots of people I know use that). so get over it, MS better this and MS better that? why? they are suppose to please you so taht you can just turn around and illegal obtain the final release? you make me sick to my stomach. The only thing I want to see in XP is a application chooser like 98/Me has where you can check off what stuff you want installed ahead of time. yeah, and since you were not here long enough to even know, don't even post my post count, you peon. if you wanted me to continue posting, you made that choice. Vampyr, your right, where would you get it from? that's cuz they don't tell you "the rest of the story". sure, the old versions of Whistler/Neptune combos said Windows 2000, NT 5, whatever. But they were sorta both worked on around the same times. NT 5, sure it was built on that, but not the final RTM 2000, it was built on NT 5 Beta 2, XP already has like SP1 and SP2, and arguementally, it has SP 2 1/2 installed, because all bugs found in 2k during the beta testing phase were cleaned out in real-time on Whistler/Neptune. Just cuz MS says that doesn't mean it's the absolute 100 % true, it's because they don't want to mention cancelled OS's, such as Neptune, etc. Enhanced Windows 2000 Engine = Enhanced NT Engine. you mean, without the solid NT platform there would be no WinXP. Whistler was started BEFORE Windows 2000 was even close to being done. Sometime in early 1999 (almost a year before 2000 was released). It has nothing to do with win2k, just the enhancing of the NT platform. So without NT there would be no XP. Those are facts, take them to the bank.

You are thick-skulled. XP has been said by hundreds of thousands that know about it to be "The best OS since Windows 95". From network admins, to home users, to business people, to whoever, it has been said that. MS employees have said "the OS I have always wanted" and "the OS that I have always wanted to build" said some of the programmers. Give it a rest, XP is the future. You guys just can't accept that, that's fine, stay with your screwed up win2k configurations, but quit ranting about the rest of the OS's.
