yeppers, that's why it was one of the very few 32-bit SNES games. The word 32-bit catches most has being a PSX game, which it was. [ January 03, 2001: Message edited by: jdulmage ]

lol, reset your bios defaults, I had that same problem and it fixed that. I'm not saying it'll work for you, but it's a shot in the dark
-
it'll run, but not at full power, or can you overclock these things?
-
actually I was registered in March 2000, but a slight problem here and there, anyways, I re-registered and the mods added my post count back on...but I mean, 5 times less....ohhh, your powers are overwhelming, why waste them here when there are so many unsolved crimes. GO GO, for the good of the world ;( [ January 02, 2001: Message edited by: jdulmage ]

nope, my friend is on the team, he only gets Beta 1, Beta 2, etc. and only internal testers (MS employees) get the other ones.

Look, Beta 1 is the newest, it's been out since October 31, i've had it since November 2. Beta 2 will come out in January, therefore, I would just ***ume that RTM will not be April of 2001. It'll probably be pushed back at least 3 months from that date. What are you talking about with this 2296/1, I ***ume he means 2296.1, but there is no such build. If you goto the System Properities, it should say 5.1.2296 or something like that, if it says 5.1.2296.1, then congrats to you, because you'll be the only one that I know of that has a newer build.

AGP makes a big difference for bus clock speed.. uses too much memory because there is a bug in there that accidently opens up like 15 svchost.exe programs, I've already discussed it with a large amount of people and it's only suppose to have 3 to 5 of those open tops. That's why it's taking up too much RAM...

ok.. I get to sit here and wait out that so called worldwide hacking attempt that is suppose to happen tonight ;( Lots of people talking about it, now my boss wants me to monitor a bunch of the web hosting servers

You have sent a message! here is a good tech question for you.... I'm on webtoolsplus.com, all of a sudden, it's saying "404 error"...what the hell, so I refresh the page....a yahoo.com error comes up "Sorry, we could not find http://www.webtoolsplus.com/tlq3/index.html Click refresh again, says "JoteNet.net 404 Error". Refresh it again, just a regular 404 error, refresh again. WWF.com 404 error saying that WWF could not find http://www.webtoolsplus.com/tlq3/index.html. Refresh again, site shows up finally, but all of the images are broken....go ahead, figure it out... The same thing happens with other sites too, not just webtoolsplus.com thanks for any help, if any can be given...I have already reinstalled IE, and I ended up reinstalling my whole OS for a different reason...so it can't be those... UPDATE ====== http://www.webtoolsplus.com and http://www.3dfx.com all redirect to http://starbase15.simplenet.com/index2.shtml for no reason what so ever. Help me!! and still, it wasn't on the list for Best Tech Support Site of the Year
-
no, it don't work because DX8 is a beta within Whistler currently. You could take the chance and use the win2k DX8 final and put that on or wait for beta 2 when they have the final product in.
-
there is not a new beta every week, that was only with Windows Millennium, because I used to get a new build weekly or bi-weekly, but they do not do that with Whistler. It goes Beta 1, Beta 2, etc... until RC1, RC2...RTM. There are no other builds in between, they are all internal MS tests. No beta testers get them. [ December 30, 2000: Message edited by: jdulmage ]

In May of 2000, I purchased a motherboard and processor. I got it all hooked up, you know typical, whatever. Booted it up, blah blah, got the latest bios for it, it enabled that life saving S.M.A.R.T features for the hard drives. I was noticing that it had said External Cache: 512 KB, Disabled. I want that enabled, make things better for my system, there wasn't a feature to turn it off or on I also noticed that in my hardware monitor setup in the BIOS, it said Case Opened NO my case is open, I leave one of the side doors off huh? So, today, for some dumb reason, (and this has been happening for about 3 weeks now, but not nearly as much as today). I would reboot my system only to see that the computer would refuse to boot back up. It would reboot, my monitor light would flash that amber color (stating that the computer is off), it was not off, it refused to do the POST checks or anything, black screen..so I would have to shut off the system from the back switch, about once a day. Now, it's about 4 times a day and now it was reseting my BIOS and giving me CMOS Checksum Failures and what not So I got fed up I took the battery out of my motherboard, looking around to see if it had leaked or something Well christ...I couldn't remember which way to put the battery back in and since nothing on the board or in the manual told me how, I just guessed. So I just did that. Turned it on, went into the BIOS only to see, that Case Opened YES External Cache: 512 KB, Enabled now, was it the fact that I took the battery out and then put it back in, or was the battery in backwards straight out of the manufactuer? Wow, what a mystery, but i'm happy now that it's all fixed up and working RIGHT for a change. and that's why they call me a troubleshooter [ December 30, 2000: Message edited by: jdulmage ]

well, it certainly was a mystery and my computer still does the amber light **** when I reboot sometimes, lol..
-
wow...take it easy....lol, for one thing, I am running Windows Me and it's running fine here and I see no reason to upgrade......YET. I mean, I could go into Windows 2000 only to see that the boot time is slower (not that I care), it ain't has compatibility (my games would work anyways) and to see that Creative's support for my SB 128 PCI is next to none (there goes a perfectly good subwoofer system without the Tone Controls that I have in Millennium). All in All, I see no problem with it...but I am upgrading, once I get my SB Live!, cuz I was told that it has the proper Tone Controls B*** (Base, because it'll be censored) and Treble. So I dual boot. [ December 30, 2000: Message edited by: jdulmage ]
