Windows 2000 FIX, IS THIS TRUE

HAHAHA, you have got to be kidding me, computer illiterate, i have been working with computers since 1992. I am currently one of the best computer students in my whole student. I have made thousands of dollars doing computer stuff. I have experienced so many problems and solutions far more then anyone of you will see in your whole life. So i know what i'm talking about. OR can you prove this one, here it goes. Install Windows 2000 fresh, RPG Maker and other programs never worked. Install DOS and then Windows 2000, all of those programs work now, how can you prove that it wasn't DOS that fixed it. I believe that the programs were looking for files that only DOS offers, so they wouldn't work until after DOS was put on.

Windows 2000 FIX, IS THIS TRUE

What are you smoking? I just tried it on my friends computer and it fixed his gaming problems as well. So it must work, don't ask me how, but it does. BTW, Windows 2000 Pro, it's impossible for you to be running games fine, cause nearly no games work with Windows 2000. You get RPG Maker 95 and try running it and you tell me if it works or not. Cause if it does, i'll be happy

    Sound in DOS Games

In Windows 2000, how can i get sound to work in DOS Games, it says in the FAQS for NT Compatible's website, but the address to goto the site doesn't work. Anybody know how to solve this?

    Scratchey glitchy sound.

goto into the Device Manager, click on Computer, then goto the properites of Standard PC and turn off the IRQ steering and reboot, i'll help ya for sure
  6. i don't think Windows sucks, it's probably the next best this, No windows OS's suck. If it wasn't for Microsoft, i bet Linux and all those wouldn't have ever existed

    Windows 98!

Talk about not getting the point. If your going to release an OS, then release one that is compatible with stuff. All of my games don't work, i'm currently looking into solving this, but i'm still sticking with Windows 2000. Also most of you think it's because W2K wasn't designed for use with most games....WRONG!! I was told my Microsoft that games don't run, because they look to see what OS you have, if you have NT, then simply don't work because a long time ago, NT sucked and couldn't run anything. So the games are tricked into thinking it's Windows NT, not Windows 2000

    Ditched Win2k

I agree with SHS, Bad Ass, you don't know much. Plus, for all of those people who just love to say Windows crashes is full of it. Cause ever since i flashed my bios and restores it's defaults, windows has never crashed since on my computer. Not even Windows ME beta

    Shutdown/Power-off w/ Abit BP6?

if you don't see an APM tab under Power Management, it simply means you can't use PM with your computer, i would restore bios defaults and try it again
