I have thought about to backup my data to and format but the drive of which he says is not formatted is partitioned into 4 partitions. I think it is strange that he doesn't see that and think that formatting is not the answer to the problem. somebody thinks different about it?

Windows whistler says that my second HD is not formatted so I can't access it but in windows 2000 it works fine. how is this possible? I don't want to format my HD because of all the data loss. I have a dual boot system with windows 2000 pro and windows whistler personal build 2396. P2 400; 128MB RAM; nVidia TNT2; 30GB HD(consists of 4 partitions); 8GB HD; ASUS P2b-F
