If I remember correctly you can only print the email with attachment icons when composing in Rich Text format and not when receiving a message from the internet. All the other formats put the references in the attachment header line and you dont get that on a print. Hope this helps. Tes

What is up with Nvidia? Win NT, Win2000, WinXP, Win98 on many different machines and they all crash one way or another. LOL I mean, I upgrade drivers and get stability in some games and not in others, next change switches it all around on me. It's getting better but really, I'd like to not have to worry about crashing during gameplay. What is a tried and true BULLETPROOF setup? If one actually exists. Oh well. <Throws a brick at the 20in monitor> Im going back to my Tau flat in the livingroom and finish up HALO on my xbox. grrrrrr.

I havent tried this myself but maybe if you turn off fast user switching then it might work?

When you get invited to a netmeeting by someone on an older version of Messenger then Netmeeting starts and installs itself on the desktop and quick launch. Other than that you have to load up conf, like the other user said.

Those Win2k drivers dont work properly. My logitech cam is recognized and I get all the cool winxp features but the 3Com cam is not recognized at all. It DOES however work in Netmeeting and I can whack off for my girlies across the sea all night long. I just cant use it with movie maker or use the winxp snapshot and picture management features with it. Is anyone out there using a 3com Homeconnect Cam with winxp successfully? thanks

I have been running EZCD Creator 5 without any problems. Make sure you do not reboot and you run the win2k patches from Roxios site. I also have not unstalled any of the apps other that the CD creating portion of the software. It works like a charm and no instabilities so far. 1ghz tbird on a MSI K7Pro 1.4 384MB Ram 26gig raid 7200rpm Promise FT-U66 9gig 10000 SCSI uw160 GF2 Ultra 275/500 SB Live! Funny. Well I'd advise against the bowl of water thing. ;-) Open the case and get the dust off the components and tube just becareful around the yoke. If you bump into it you can throw off the convergence blah blah blah and it costs $$$ to fix. I open my Sony 20" every once in a while to clean it. No problems so far. GPR PS You void warranty by opening your monitor, but you knew that already.

Compressed air will not harm the monitor. You will however end up shuffling dust around inside it. Blowing air in the monitor wont help. If the case is dusty around the vents you might want to use a vacuum.

I have the same problem. Not with Q3 but when existing CS using OpenGL renderer. I am using 2462build of XP (BETA 2) with 12.00 WHQL drivers. Its not consistant. I dont have any background programs running. I cant seem to figure out what causes it. I feel your pain. I had the same exact problem. I got tired of it and reinstalled Beta2 and I havent had any problems since. If you do an upgrade from the CD you should be ok as well.

Good question. I never installed it until after I installed the 6.34 drivers. I would assume that Xing Mp3 player runs under build 2462 because under 2000 and XP Beta 1 it didnt matter what drivers were installed, the program had the same corrupt skin. Now I finally get to see what the program is supposed to look like. It sounds great too.
-
Thanks! I'll try it out. I looked at that but since it was for Win2k I didn't really figure that it would be an issue. I thought MS would have taken that into consideration and these are new issues to deal with. I'll let you know what happens.

Hey All, Just wanted to share my findings with you guys and see what yall think. Saw an earlier post where somebody suggested that those with MX cards use 10.40 drivers. Well, I have the same problems that he and a few others were experiencing only I have a Guillemot GF DDR-DVI card. Now after installing the 10.40 drivers I noticed that I could watch movies, play D3D games and OGL games without a problem but my performance went down the drain. I saw my performance drop to about 50FPS tops in Quake3, Oni was EXTREMELY choppy, Giants was not as smooth as XP Beta1 with 6.47 dets. I tried 10.80, 11.xx's and those resulted in Media player crashing. Using 7.xx's allowed Dx games to play but OGL games would not load levels. They would simply just hang. 6.4x+'s would result in DX games displaying incorrect graphics or crashing. Now with all the above mentioned drivers I also had infrequent desktop crashes. Similar to the problems experienced with Win2K during its release. For no reason at all the machine would just freeze. I didn't have this problem with Beta1 at all. My AGP is set to 1x by the way. Anybody running a similar setup at 2x? 3D Chipset.com put up Guillemot 6.34 drivers and I tried those. VIOLA! Gaming is back to normal. No more corrupt graphics in Giants. I can play without crashing. Quake3, ONI, Counter-Strike all play without any problems and I can watch Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon MPEG without it tossing a blue screen at me. I find that all the games play extemely smooth at 1024x768x32. I havent benchmarked for exact FPS in 3DMark or anything like that. My Quake FPS comes from the FPS meter that I leave on. Any suggestions on a better driver to use, or perhaps a hacked set that work better than the 6.34's? Other than this minor problem Beta2 ROCKS!! Xing MP3 player finally displays the buttons correctly btw. Not that I use it. ;-) Thanks, Tes Antec??
