Hi they have IP's assinged as 192.168.0.1 for the desktop and 192.168.0.2 for the laptop. I enabled Netbios but that never made any difference, the desktop can ping the laptop okay, but the laptop cant ping the desktop (i think it may be the firewall stopping it.) It is Cat-5 cable. In My Network Places, I cant see the desktop from the laptop, and on the desktop I cant see the laptop Thanks

you get the latest drivers from the website of the manufacturer of your hardware. Download the ACT tools this is the Application Compatibility toolkit. I cant remember if I used any compatibility layers but if i did it would either be Windows 2000 or 98SE i used.

running it on Windows XP 1 GB RAM Pentium 3 450MHz SB Live Geforec 2 Pro Absolutely no problems all options at max and running at 1024*768*32

It seems to work fo me, make sure you have the latest drivers and updates then get the Application Compatibility toolkit from Microsoft. That made it work for me, but I haven't played it too much, just made sure it worked then uninstalled it.

I call it rip-off, I have heared stories that they dont find anything and they miss odvious problems, and known viruses.

to the guy mentioning PC World, I went for an interview when they were building there store nere me, and as soon as I said "Well i am a NT4 MCP with a HNC in Computer Support and Working on my HND before doing a degree course" they said "Well thanks for coming but we dont hire anyone who knows anything about PC's" I must admit I was shocked. PC World and Dixons (there Owners) are the worst company for Support they force you to take there warrenty's and then fail to honour them. I Know someone with a PC that was purchased in Dixons the motherboard has been replaced 50 times due to problems, the last time the engineers call out sheet listed the parts and prices PC World payed for a new motherboard £5000 for 1 motherboard, they could of given him a new PC for <£1000 that was 10 times more powerful (he had a Pentium 200 MHZ) My Mum bought me a laptop from PC World last year for my course, she took the warrenty everything was fine for a year and then 2 weeks ago the entire motherboard literlly exploded when I plugged it in After phoning them I was told "Umm that Laptop is a Desktop we dont sell Laptops" I replied "No it is a Notebook, I have a warrenty, Reciept, Serial Number and anything else you need" Suffice to say it took 1 week of threats to get them to agree it was a notebook/laptop and was picked up for repair, I hope to get it back in 6 months time. The Moral of these stories are Dont buy an extended warrenty. And dont shop in Dixons/PC World.

have you tried bookmarking the site, and selecting make available offline and setting the options to download everything, then running the Syncronisation wizard on a clean Temporary Internet files folder and then just copying and pasting all files? I am sure there is a better way but that is all I know other than doing it the hard way and saving everything manually

JBoDEAN i thought you could do that, at least the documentation suggests you can
-
i think what you want is the application sharing part where you can both control a program (to some extent) I have used it already in Word and it worked fine.

i had the same problem on Windows 2000 but so far not on XP. I am not sure what was causing it, though. Sorry

semi works here. I had to reset the audio portion then make sure it wasn't muted in Volume Controls, and finally when I want to listen to the TV I need to pull out the Digital DIN cable from my SB Live to my 5.1 speakers ;( I am using the Windows XP Drivers fom Hauppage. EDIT: Just read your specs you have 4.1 speakers and a SB Live card if you have connected them via the digital din ports you need to pull it out from the speaker box before sound works and then put it back once you are finished with the TV

strange nothing like that here. Sorry

I just installed the drivers and ignored liveware 3.0
