well in that case use something like partition magic to delete the c: partition and then add the free space to the d: partition and change its name to c: then edit the boot.ini file. Thats just a rough idea on what to do, I dont (yet) have enough experience with Partition Magic to help much further but I am sure someone here does

Hi All When I went to use my Win TV Card today there were no channels saved, so I rescanned for new channels, I can see it finding channels in the TV Window but when the scan finishes there is nothing listed! Any Ideas on whats wrong? I called Hauppage and there answer was "Oh that hardware is supported, it will work." and then hanging up on me Thanks

yeah i tried the drivers from http://hauppage.com/xp/software/index.htm http://hauppauge.lightpath.net/software/wdm/wdm317_19299.exe which is version 3.17 the application opens okay but will not store any channel data evan adding it manually Now that I have it working I may try the new WDM Drivers again and if not at least i can roll back the drivers

Doh! I just did this a few days ago, and now I cant remember the command It was in the XP Help file and you enter it either in Run box or in Console Window (DOS) if you haven't found it by the time I get to a XP machine (later today) I will send you the code. And No you dont loose anything, at least I never. Update: Thanks to a Friend who remembered the command: convert drive_letter: /fs:ntfs so to convert c: it would be Code: convert C: /fs:ntfs This should work.

the best and most stable way is a format I kno someone who tried this on an NTFS Partition using Partition magic and it killed the drive, I am not saying this happens all the time but i wouldn't risk it myself. Hope this helps.

Umm strange have you looked in Mouse Properties ect. maybe something has been disabled. Other than that did it ever work? if so Try a system rollback.

im not on XP at present so i cant check but is it not in File Options or Internet Explorer options menu? I remember seeing it yesterday in one of those two places.
-
Not too sure on the first question but the second. I find them in the All Programs Menu and then create a shortcut then drag and drop the shortcut to the quick launch bar. I am sure there is an easier/better way but that works for me Good luck.

Do you have two hard drives? if so just switch the Master and Slave positions. If you have one drive and its in partitions then Use Partition Magic to modify the partitions, then in XP open up the boot.ini file via the My Computer Right click properties option and edit it so only XP is listed. Hope this helps

fixed it thanks. That is strange I needed to revert to the Windows 2000 VFW Drivers and Application, the Windows XP drivers never worked ;(

Hello all, I was just given a copy of Tomb Raider 4 as a present, but when I try and install it the message appears that setup.exe has generated errors and will be closed. I have a Win2K SP2 box 1GB RAM Geforce 2 Pro SB Live Any Ideas?
-
running it no problems, shame the game isn't as good as the origanal IMHO.
-
if you have "Tom Clancys Rainbow Six" and "Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Eagle Watch" and cannot get them to run out of the box on XP here is what you do. If you get errors with running Rainbow Six but Eagle Watch runs, download this file ,UnZip it, Copy the DATA folder over to your Rainbow Six folder and select YES to the warning message that appears. Load Eagle Watch Play the Campaign to completion. You should now get the origanal Missions available as a Seperate Campaign. (On same Page as Eagle Watch missions). You might need to make a new campaign to get this to happen. Hope This Helps.

Should do the full game does as does the origanal demo.

Sorry not sure where to put this so appologies if its in the wrong forum. I currently have a voodoo 3 3500 and plan on getting the Gold version of XP ASAP (currently have RC1) I know the V3 isn't supported so I will need a new card, however money is tight. I was thinking of getting this card: Creative GeForce 2 PRO but wanted some advice if it was worth it, I play alot of FPS games with the occasional flight sim. Thanks.
-
yeah got that You still cant have the quicktweak icon automatically started when you boot up

I Just went from a Voodoo 3 3500 to a Geforce 2 Pro due to the lack of drivers, and I have a question if 3DFX have been disolved then how come in my local stores (I tried PC World, Dixons, plus local retaillers) 90% of the stores i looked in had a Voodoo card either a 4 or 5. So who is providing the support for these cards since they are still being sold? When I asked in PC World (and there is no way i believe anything from them ;() they said NVIDIA has said they will support the cards. So does anyone have an exact answer?
