i used the CAT's for XP for my 9700 PRO running under server 2003 enterprise - also installed the control panel and also the 8.5 multimedia center and everything works great! no problems all 128mb show As for the Hardware excel. - u do not need to boot into VGA to enable hardware ecel. ujst turn it on normally under windows

if i actually trusted maxtor drives i would get one, but after having a few of them just die on me u could not sell me a 250g Maxtor for $10!

pc-cillin does do a great job - i never really sued it, then did one day and thought it was great!

^^^ certainy true, other cards can get rather high - all depends on the company make of the card - the main thing with this card was that the 128mb card have slower memory and usually dont overclock wel - but i guess i got ucky, but also MS does tend make very fexlible cards. My leadtek G4 ti4600 i can onyl get 329 (300 stock) Core and 759 memory from 650.

Hey when ever i hit "new topic" for the first time in a section it takes me back to the index.php everytime! then when i hit it again - it actually start the new topic - this has happend in every section i have tried to start a ne topic in.

Any one know of any bootable recovery tools to try to recover a laptop HD? accountant opened an attachement on an email and it frooze the comp - not it B.S.O.D's upon hitting the welcome screen (XP) Safe mode does not work and a repair did not work either so i REALLY! need to get the info on that hard drive! currently trying to find a store here that has an laptopHD 2 IDE converter - seen them on the web, but need one like now

^^^ well, the CEO was smart and just went and bought a new one - problem is he bought a toshiba Satellite - not the PRo's. we have ahd 3 Satellites and ALL have ahd problems, we have a PRO and it has been through heck and back and works great! Toshiba wont replace anything as long as it works - how can i fry a harddrive?

Hey all did some searching but have not found anything very clear. i simply need to set up a guest account on a windows 2003 server box - this account i more or less only want to give full access to 3 or 4 programs , IE and Outlook that is it. i do not want them to be able to install any programs or chang any settings. I tried one way of this but seems it was the long way - anyone suggest the best way to do this? thnx in advance

^^^ yeppers! got one or 2 util that shoul do the trick i did make 2 seprate paritions, but both are ntfs but i should now have a solution - i just need to get the outlook.pst file off of C and onto D really - i already have the My Doc folder on D drive as i alwayss et windows up like that

anyone know of a dos utility that will let me copy from one ntfs partion to another?

could have to do with many of the disabled services in 2003?

Hey all i was @ a site last nigth that shows how to make PC-cillin 2002 / 2003 work on server 2003 by replacing an inf or dll file...... has any one heard about this as i can not for the life of me find that site again.

Hey all well reading up on the centrino cause i am likely going to buy a laptop soon. What is the major advantage of the centrino - to me it seems simply it does not use as much power on battery - but the speeds are much lower, like 1.6ghz.... is the 1ghz speed decrease over a mobile worth the extra saved on battery life? whatotehr advantages does the centrino offer over other mobile chips?

^^^ good thought - but what could the laptop mobo handle? - are those types of specification readily avaiible? to possible replace the cpu your self in the laptop with a faster one? if thatis what you were thinking.
