Looking for a Gigabyte 8IHXP...................
Mr.Guvernment replied to Mr.Guvernment's topic in Buy, Sell or Trade
well i also plan on buying a new power supply and putting the system into a new case so i can get better cooling so really all i am taking from the dell is 2 x 120g HD 9700 PRO 512 pc1066 p4 2.4 chip the rest i will leave. thxn sapiens74 , but i can not find a site under that name or url there was one Bxboards - but it did not work. -
no, it is over clocked 18 x 163 there are no 163FSB chips..lol he got one of the lucky week 44(i beleive) C1 2.4 chips that over clocks nice like mine. - if he got better cooling or a diff. mobo could like get that chip upto 3.2 or higher water cooling.

Also once it is legalized - then the criminal side of it - as u said, would be lower, - it would not be such a BIG deal to smoke since it is legal, so the rebelious ones would find soemthing else to do to "rebel" then becoming a pot head. As for the scientist that say it is harmful - to what degree - i have done SERIOUS reading on weed and it's affects and for the most part - they are not physically damaging - unless severly abused - if we are talking about pure weed, nothign mixed in, no crazy home grown stuff with the extra chemicals in it. then it's long term affects depending on dosage are very very limited to next to nothing. i was a pot head for 2 years - 2,3 joints a day for 2 years straight - i held 2 jobs and i am fine now........ - according to that link that type fo use for over 2 years can damage you, i guess i was a lucky one.

NVidia 44.03, or NVidia Detonator 43.51? GeForce4 Ti4600
Mr.Guvernment replied to adamvjackson's topic in Everything New Technology
i dont think either really matters as i doubt any changes in new drivers will affect your ti4600 - they are mainly for the FX cards i would think. i will likely stay with the 41.09's as they are the best for me so far that allow me to get the most overclock out of my ti4600 - that is until my water cooling comes in this week BUAHAHAHAHAHAH! -
the latest nvidia drivers will not change a SINGLE thing for you card since it is so old, so if things work now, no reason to upgrade.
-
they are not making the 3.3- they are skipping them and coming out directly with the 3.4's. - not sure when, but site reviewing the 9800 256 cards are using beta versions, so likely soon.

Hey all this DNS stuff is new to me, but i got it up and running on 2003 here, Now question. i have it forwarding requests to our ISP dns servers, now we often have our DNS go down, and i am hoping that in that case our computers can then use mine set up here locally.... now i know this is not likely the case, but we had program called Simple DNS, that saves ALL queiries it makes, so even if the ISP's DNS goes down, we switch to the SimpleDNS program computer and since it has all these saved past dns queries for sites we have visited - it gets out sites. Now, does the DNS in 2003 do this? saves all queries to resolve DNS address it makes? so if i go to msn.com - it stores that info somewhere and if your ISP's DNS goes down - we can use our server here and use the resolved address saved on it? Also, how can i view all of the logs that DNS saves? - to see what is going on to make sure it is working?

thnx m8! it actually seems on 2003 it is located in \HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CONTROLSET001\CONTROL\PRODUCTOPTIONS\ Didn't seem to work though for the program, still wont run, shall try that other program u suggested to see where in the reg this program is accessing. -

NVidia about to take what looks to be a BIG lead again...
Mr.Guvernment replied to sapiens74's topic in Hardware
would not suprise me if it is so over hyped it end up being like unreal - yeah wicked graphics - but general game play is boring and crappy! i assume there will be multiplayer? - i would hope so! -
uncheck the "hide unsupported" modes in display / advance area - see if that works....

Another thing, dont forget NVIDIA is huge in on DOOM III - what are the chances the preview bench has been optimised for NVIDIA cards? As someone else had mentioned, the 9800 gets 10fps on doom III over on Hard's review............. i am doubting that for some reason... Also, again, when u turn up AA and AF over 4x, ATi 9800 kick's arse -
Quote: THe asus board is a bit more expensive than the Abit one. I jsut jumped ship from a P4PE to an Abit IC7 and the quality on the Abit is way better. Asus seems to be lax as of late with features, and all that plus a premium to buy thier boards Asus has the stability - but so does Abit now, and Abit is SUPERIOR! in over clocking feature - i have the BH7 myself.

Mr.Guvernment replied to sapiens74's topic in Hardware
as always - tell them to turn on AA and AF to full - then come back with a test! it is better cause thry went back to DDR-I - which allows a 256bit where as DDR_II is limited to 128, this is why they can get 27g memory bandwidth as opposed to 16. Beside if i was to spend the $700 canadian for it, i would rather get the 256mb 9800 that are out for $799 canadian. -
