Quote: For similar perfromance and almost half the cost you can get hte GF 5900 SE from newegg for 188 now. Look at the specs. About the same performance, about half the cost. U will still see GREAT improvements. you will NOT get similar performance - end of story - the ONLY FX card that comapres to a 9800PRO is an ULTRA 5900 or 5950 You need to read soem reviews about these 2 cards. Just because the memory and clock speeds are close does not mean performance will be. Core and memory speed mean almost nothing in today video cards - what you want is the pixel shader peformace, how many lines they got, 8, 4, 12? etc etc. turn on AA and FSAA - bu-bye nvidia You want to have entire scenese adn shadows missing from your games because nvidia has nice little optimizations? go ahead you will notice a HUGE diff in quality and speed with a 9800PRO - ALSO u will be futured proofed for Dx9 based game s- which ther FX line is not.

Quote: I am using a GeForce4 Ti 128MB 4X AGP. I am using 53.03 Ref. Drivers. go back to 43.* drivers - the 53.* have more optimizations in them .i.e - missing shadows / entire scenese in games etc.
-
Any application that will use %100 CPU power - HT is useless - why? Becuase HT allows the system to use CPU power not in use - but when you are using %100 cpu power - there is not cpu power left to allocate to anything else.
-
if u want to future proof your self go ATI right now. NVIDIA is still playing the "optimization" game with their latest 53.* drivers and their cards support, which everyone should know by now - for DX9 is no existent. s- they are still lying and cheating. Also that 9800SE - can likely be overclocked to 9800PRO speeds. on person got their upto 419/365 and another person got their upto 420/360 As for the people who have voted for the FX card - why?
-
Hey Alec! - automated video card overclocking.. :)
Mr.Guvernment replied to Mr.Guvernment's topic in Slack Space
that does look like an oldie. what i was curious of is how the program knows when it has automatically found an error and to lower the clock speed. i mean why cant the actual ATI and nvidia software do this then so when a system crashes it can say - hey - we found an error in pixel X etc. -

i think i cna live with $380 - it would be shipped to my address i got in miami for shipping would u just leave it as is in the case and just seriously pad it up? or would u take each part out and such? - just thinking if a really realyl good packing job may cost some extra $$$ - i think i could pay for it if it will ensure it makes it all the way here to costa rica in one piece. Maybe see what the price to fedex or UPS it to miami would be with insurance i know they say they dont send to P.O Box's but that is BS as amazon uses UPS to send all my orders to my miami address - which is #SJO 12614, 1601 NW 97th Ave. P.O Box 025331 Miami Florida 33102-5331 United States -

a Moblie 1.4 is = to a p4 2.4ghzCPU. the moblie is based of the pIII since the p4 was really a bad designed chip and is too power hungry really foir laptops. -

no clue - nero does not do it at all? whatabout roxio? when you format it as you first formating it, then making a new disc to make or making your disc - then just telling nero to burn it and it then fornats it? make sure your drive is supported by nero.

hey m8 - if u can possible set up a NETeller (www.neteller.com) account i can take those 2 PIII off u - throw them in a dell server here that only has a single 733 in it - if not will see about a money order. also will u ship to a #SJO / P.O box? - i got one in miami - since shipping to costa rica cost too darn much! that mobo is temping as well! - we got a pIII 933 - just have to get another one and their is another sweet system we are hiring some new people @ work and our current rigs dont cut it for what they do. -

how much is it with out the ti4600? -
Okay - may be a few - for me - the "best" ones just overall had great graphics - great game play and i can play them over and over! The Worst for me - where games that did not meet their hype - the game play - usually multiplayer was bad - graphics were poor compared to others games i play and bad story lines. Just so u know - my gaming rig consists of ATi readeon 9700PRO P4 2.4 @ 2.98 Asus P4P800 1g Pc3200 And can handle all below game with 8xAA and 16x FSAA. with the max res the game will go. Best [*]1. Delta Force Black Hawk Down [*]2. Rise Of Nations [*]3. Need For Speed Underground [*]4. Call Of Duty [*]5. Max Payne 2 [*]6. Prince of Persia: The Sands Of Time [*]7. XIII [/list:u] Worse [*]1. Halo - Way over hyped - multiplayer stunk - weapons seemed all the same at the best - graphics could of used tuoching up - but mainly for me was the multiplayer play was horrid! the multiplayer maps were emtpy and boring. - Single player was decent, but again - could use some improvement. [*]2. X2 - Wolverines Revenge - awful game play - story stank! [*]3. The Hulk - same as above - was an awfuylknock off - for PS2 seemed better but game just repeats too much! [*]4. Lord Of The Ring : War Of The Ring - boringggggggg - hack n slash - had some good interaction but i found it another repetative game. [*]5. Railroad Tycoon 3 - what a let down - i loved railroad tycoon2 - but i think they just tried too hard in this one. [/list:u] i could list alot more crappy game,s but too lazy to go through my pile of games.
