u get any updates for the games to try it? and what "XP Pro update" did u install? u eman all of windows updates or? do a fresh install of windows? is that an option? Drivers: Bios update Sound Card update Vid card just an idea.

Teleport Pro is a web spider, will downlaod a site to your computer (as long as u have permission,), u got diff, choices, u can download the whole site with dir. structure etc etc... if it needs a login / pass, u can enter that into the prog, and tell it how deep u want it to get info from.

update the card's bios

the pioneer 103 came with my comp, good burner, takes 1 hour to burn a full 4.6g disk, but still, that is alot of room to fill no complaints, also burn cdr's /cdrw's @ 8x. the DVD burner only burns in 2x max i believe. they were about $699 canadian a few months back.

is it an exe file u downloaded? with my ati all in wonder ( a rage 128) it is just 1 exe file that has all of it in one, and installs it all at one time, it is the full multimedia package. some of the new ati drivers u need to extract to a folder, then run the find new hardware, and tell windows were to find the "extracted" drivers.

i am, still looking around for an actual way to do it, instead of a reg hack, you would THINK they would let YOU choose the security on your own computer..lol

i use ma VM made a 800mb partition, made that my VM drive only, u would need it incase your system crashes, it needs to dump the info to your VM, this maybe why as well? i see no real reason not to have it! just a guess. it only does this with some of the pics i do, if u try the Nt logo, it will save it as a jpeg with the name of the file. I would assume or think, it may have to do with the way the web site is designed..? but that don't explain why outlook does it. "ntcompforum"

yeah, it is a securty setting, here is what i get if u try to sned this page out: and i do not see anything either in outlooks security settings, but shall look some more.

when it is taking forever, is norton logo down by your clokcing showing norton scanning emails? do u got plain old outlook installed? are you using XP, and have more then 1 user logged in?

did u get the Xp update? If so, ditch Acraptec, and get Nero. i have not had an issues with it on XP and it ejects the cd by itself when it is done anyways. (think u can set that in adaptec too Have u tried taking out norton, and doing a burn, then putting norton back in?

have u tried running the driver .exe file that installs the full software suit? (as this is alwasy how i got ATI drivers) uninstall all previous driver, read the "readm me / help " file with the drivers, or on the ATI site?

LOL 3 beefed up, hardly..LOL and to explain the first system, the 533 was the VERY first computer i ever built over 3 years ago. (it had my ati all in wonder 32mb card in it) the p4 1.3....... i had promised my mom i would build her a computer (she had never had one, and wanted one), so it was either buy a brand new one,and build it, or give her my old one, so, i gave her my old 533 - but i still consider it mine, as it was my first computer ever built! And i got a p4 1.3 cause i got the 1.3 for $70, so i figured buy it, then threw an ATI 7000 radeon in my moms comp , and kept the ati in my 1.3, as my mom had no use for such a card. AND, now i do not live in toronto, i moved to Antigua a year ago, so, when i moved here, i did not trust having my computer shipped down here, so i did not have a computer, and i wanted / needed one at home, so this VAIO was offered to me for $1500 US (new), so i grabbed it. i did not "run" out to buy the latest stuff at all. I got a better video card for this one, my vaio, cause the tnt 2 32mb card was crap that came with it and did not do what i wanted it too, so i thought i would finally spoil myself with a new G4 card , cause i know it will last me a few years. i buy to last, not to hold me over until the next best thing comes out.

i got that card at work, the 28.42's work fine for me, it is not the best card (2, 3 years old,) so Det's version to me is not going to make a huge difference!

^^^^ this happens to me now and then in Grand theft Auto III i am driving, it stops, but ti is only for like 1-2 seconds. and same, no HD activity... i make sure everything is off in the back ground as well....

i havea web site, that i go to, i got teh windows update JM, and when i vist this one web site, that is all mainly java based, it uses %100 cpu power.....? is this right? (is uses a "download" script to download files to your computer, as soon as u gte on that window BAM! %100 cpu usage, and uigot a p4 1.8)
