Web Browser ::: Latest version of OPERA

It has no trouble sharing the internet at all. Yesterday I was running 3 instances of Opera 5.01, 3 instances of Agent 1.7, Netscape Navigator 4.76, and Reget 1.7, all simultaenously. No probs at all, everything was just humming right along. I say go for it, dude!

    Mozilla 0.8

Nah, there's still no Win2000lite. Check out the website at www.98lite.net . There's a news page, and there's also a discussions section. There's info in both. 98lite's da bomb for Win98, too bad there's no 2000lite yet.

Web Browser ::: Latest version of OPERA

What features don't you like? I've been using it sporatically since v3.5 but since 5.0 I've been using it almost exclusively. It's a great browser. It's MUCH more stable than IE (a piece of crap) and way more stable than Netscape 4.76 (let's please not talk about 6.0!). The only complaint I have is that the email program is a little difficult to set-up. It's a great browser for Win2000 because it adds even more stability to a very stable OS. OS system size?

The dll cache on my install is 211megs so if I deleted it that would leave me at 447megs, if it matters!

    OS system size?

That's what my install is also-a slipstreamed bootable SP1 so there's no pre-SP1 backup files on my drive. I've also gone in and done some moderate pruning of unneeded files (wav and graphics stuff plus the preinstalled apps [the games and stuff]that you can remove by editing that sysoc.inf file). 650megs, baby! Why do you need all that extra M$ trash on your drive? Win2000's da bomb but it's not exactly a lightweight OS.

    Win2000 Defraggers

What defragger are people using for Win2000? Have you found any performance difference between any of them? I've been using Diskeeper 6.0 but am also considering Raxco's Perfect Disk 2000,O&O Defrag, and Norton Speed Disk. Does anyone have any experience with these(good or bad)? I'm not really hung up on fast defrag speed, I'm more interested in how well disk access is improved (or not) depending on each defraggers' propriatary method of file placement
