Finally figured out how to get the startbutton to say someth

For some reason i'm not getting it to work .. i added explorer.exe to that file, this is how the start of it looks like: <PCHealthProtect> <VERSION>1.0</VERSION> <DEFTYPE>E</DEFTYPE> <FILES> <Exclude> <REC>%windir%\explorer.exe</REC> <REC>%windir%\system.ini</REC> <REC>%windir%\tasks\desktop.ini</REC> <REC>%windir%\win.ini</REC> <REC>*:\AUTOEXEC.BAT</REC> <REC>*:\CONFIG.MSI</REC> <REC>*:\CONFIG.SYS</REC> </Exclude> <Include> <REC>c:\placeholder\ph.dll</REC> </Include> </FILES> I open explorer.exe and edit it, then save it as explorer1.exe and kill explorer in taskmanager, then i rename the old explorer.exe and rename explorer1.exe to explorer.exe .. but it's still protected because windows always replaces it right away .. Any ideas?

    Mouse acceleration problems in CS

Well .. i have a Logitech mouse =] Anyways .. there is a slider in the new Mouseware from Logitech that supports WinXP to adjust the Acceleration .. but it feels different with the same settings as in Win2k. I used No Acceleration and medium mouse speed in Win2k and if i select the same after installing the mouseware in XP it feel a lot different .. but atleast you can select the Acceleration .. better than nothing.

    Mouse acceleration problems in CS

Quote: what i did, to get my mouse feeling quite the same it was in win me: - regedit - HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Mouse - change: MouseSensitivity "0" MouseSpeed "1" MouseThreshold1 "7" MouseThreshold2 "8" i think its almost the same feeling as in win/me (for low mouse-acc, and middle mouse-speed) Could you explain what command does what of those 4 ?? I used NO Acceleration and middle mouse-speed and i need to know which of those commands i need to change for the Acceleration.

    Hercules GF2 Pro 64mb problems

This doesn't excactly belong here, but i don't know where else to ask, so here goes. I recently bought a Hercules GF2 Pro 64mb and a KT7-Raid motherboard, but everytime i try to boot up with the GF2 i get 1 long beep followed by 2 short beeps, the card is not loose in the AGP slot (tried MANY times to pull it a little out or push it hard in). I went to www.hercules.com and read about BIOS settings and applied them all but still the same problem, then i went and got the newest BIOS update for my motherboard but still no change. I tried to unplug all cards and all drives (CDROM and HDD) except for the display card but no change, there shouldn't be any power problems, i've got a 300w Power Supply. I tried the display card in 2 other computers and there were NO problems there, i've also tried a GF1 32mb SDR card in my computer without any problems, so the AGP slot isn't faulty. Does ANYONE have any ideas for me ? or had the same problem ? I appreciate ANY help i get. Hercules GF2 Pro 64mb problems

I have the longer version of the card. I took the the mounting bracket on the card away, so there would be no problem with the card not going in all the way to the AGP slot, still there was 1 long beep and 2 short ones, i tried to turn on the computer with no graphics card at all and i get the same beeps then, it's like my computer doesn't detect the card at all. I went to my friend today and tested the card there, booted up all the way to windows and put the right driver in for it, but there are a lot of interference in the graphics (little white dots all over), the card is faulty, so i'm gonna go and switch it for another (warranty). Cluth, thanks for trying to help .. i appreciate it.
