    The Sims/Livin large

I definetly have the lastest patches and what I can tell from the Dell site I have the lastest video drivers. Do you have any other clues? It works fine on my desktop PC, but it has problems on my laptop. thanks. Michael

    The Sims/Livin large

I have a Dell I8000 notebook with W2K, 512MB of memory with an ATI 32MB video card. I installed the Sims Livin Large and about a halh hour into the game it sets my display to either 800x600 or 640x480 and crashes the system. Crtl-Alt-Del won't even bring up the taxk bar, I can't get to the start bar. I have to power down. Has anyone expereinced this problem? Some other things, people who use this did they install on a FAT32 partition or an NTFS partition? Which is better? Lastly, did they install as administrator or as a power user? Thanks, Michael

    Blue Screen

I'm hoping that someone can help me when I play Madden 2001 and The Sims in certain situations I get the Blue Screen on my Windows 2000 machine. The certain situation is this: 1. I log in as admin to play games (this is the only way I can install/play games on Windows 2000) 2. I place the CD in the drive. The autorun of the CD begins 3. The game menu pops up I select play and after a few minutes the game crashes. Now, when I reboot and log back in as admin (remember the CD is stil in the drive) I select the game from Windows Program menu (instead of the autorun of the CD), the game(s) work fine. Has anyone expereinced this? Can someone give me a solution? The blue screen error is DRIVER_IRQL_LESS_EQUAL. Thanks, Michael
