Well As I need information, and I have seen the posts from these users in the past, and just browsing this board in the last week, it is hard not to ask for them not to make any comments unless they have a good idea or wish to discuss this matter in a professional manner. Otherwise I apologize...lets keep this discussion on the topic at hand. Regarding the packet sniffer..that is what the packeteer is, and this broadcast totally eats our bandwidth, so that by the time we bring down the whistler box, and can review what may have caused the issue, the data is erroneous. It points at different objects (it even pointed at an HP plotter and it's jet direct box once...what is up with that?) Any other idea's folks? Thanks

Ok..... Are their any educated posters who may wish to take a stab at my post? No Eddie314 or jdulmage posts please? More info. Installed Client for Netware from the Whistler install (not Novell's client), believe this may be the issue...but why the crippling broadcast? The packeteer goes full boat and hits 1.5mb outgoing...now where could it be going?

Hello everyone Ok...This is what we have Novell Network server Windows NT Domain server Windows 2000 Citrix servers (4) Packeteer shaper for traffic control of TCP/IP Cisco Catalyst Compaq 733 with a 3com NIC installed (905b) When Whistler is started, it takes a while to apply settings, then the NIC shuts off, turns on...then the NETWORK FLOODS, and all activity for ANY other user stops totally (Lotus Notes server...down, Novell connection...down...NT and Citrix....down) Changed NIC to Intel 10/100, SAME thing What is Whistler Broadcasting? Looking for a DHCP server...the anti-piracy feature kicking in? This is REAL BAD...any one have any idea's? (PS whats funny is it does not do this on a simple home LAN). This also happened with Ghost 6.5 flooding our network as well (used Multicast feature..and it buckled our whole network when ghosting)
