I know there is a registry edit that you can make any window or program transparent when inactive.There is also a program that does this neat little feature for you..only in Win2000 does this work.. anyone happen to know the name of the program or a url to a site?

I have my dial up in my startup folder for my bellsouth ADSl connection. Under win2k when i hit save pw its saving something other than the pw I have typed.I even tried a couple times typing it in. than hitting save.. still reverts back to this pass that Im not typing.. any ideas how to get my right pass to save?

I am running a dual boot system consisting of win98se and win2k until my new soundcard gets here which will be win2k compatiable. My turtle beach montego 2 card is pos cause it makes windows 2k freeze but ohwell. When im on Win2k so queit it is with no card. The beep from the cpu is enough to make you go mad.When i try and shut it down.. it does nothing.. move my mouse over my systray everything dissapears.. hit the shut down command from start again and bam it shutsdown. Whats making it not completly finish the shut down command the first time?

I have a DELL Dimension XPS t600r. 256mdsram montegobay 2 sound card diamond viper v770d vid card Hp 9100 8x/4x/4x cdr I install windows 2000 and for no apparent reason it freezes and locks up on me.I thought i narrowed it down to the sound drivers.. but I couldnt get it to duplicate the problem. Anyone have any suggestions? I am as I know it up to date on all avaliable drivers.. video etc.

I was doin the setup of Windows 2000 install. and i came to where i could see any software that would need to be updated etc.. and there is a sectiin called Hardware acessories and in the category there said (Systray Launcher)on Start Menu) what exactly is this refering to that I can not run.. or will not run on win2k.. Im clueless thanks

I currently have a Dell Demension XPSt600r. The hardware consist of 600r chip,256sdram,27gig hd.Diamond Viper 32mb Vid Card.Ultra66 Controller,Hp 9100 Cdr. My problem is.. Some time ago I put windows 2k as a dual boot with windows9x and it ran great.Afer having win9x on here by itself. I tried to install over win9x and I even attemped a clean install.My problem is that for no apparent reason the machine will FREEZE.I mean nothing I must reset the pc to get it to work.Nothing i press or do gives a response.Sometimes it will run for minutes without freezing sometimes hours.I ve tried it all to make it freeze so i could narrow down the problem but no luck.I also checked with dell and they said this particular machine should have no problems with win2k although they wont give me tech support cause it Win2k is not the installed OS.Any comments or ideas are appreciated
