    Website hacked

I think there is some EXE service running in the background that put the index.htm and default.htm files back on a scheduled time. I remember removing these files and reboot the system. Any idea how to find out where the file could be? Thanks

    OC'ing

I have a Iwill k266-R with T-bird 800. I wanted to try overclocking it but I have no prior experience on overclocking. Any with this board can provide a step by step for me. Thanks

    OC'ing

Thanks, I'll try that. I think I'll try the multiplier instead of the FSB.

Scripts using NT4 Server and win98se stations

Do you have a PDC and a BDC (backup domain controller) on your network? It happen to me before where I make a script change on the PDC and did not copy it to the BDC NETLOGON folder. When a user logon most cases teh BDC servers up the logon scripts. Hope this helps

    logon reconnect

This might be simple solution but I can't figure it. I have NT 2k server and wntnt 4.o wks setup. on the workstation I have a login scripts setup to creat drive mapping from the server. Seems everytime the Wks boot up it try to re-establish the network drive, I hit ESC to bypass it and the script does all the mapping. What do you disable to stop NT from trying to re-connect everytime it boot up?

    cat5 cable

Yea, I know about the lightning, I have ports get shorted out 4 times so far. Wireless sound good. I don't know how reliable it is with about 12 workstations though. Fiber was on the option list, don't know if they want to spend the money on it. Thanks all for the input

Either locally or remotely. When "user1" logon to w2k and click on start the only thing they'll be able to do is log off and run Internet explorer. Right now user1 is setup to run as a w2k terminal server client with internet explorer access. problem 1: user1 like to get on the **** site alot. So I go and install a site blocking program, it work the way it suppose to. problem 2: in order for the site blocking program to be effective a user have to completely login to w2k. Well, unfortunately I have setup user1 to *only* load a "session" of terminal server so they never see the desktop at all, just the program assign to that session window (internet explorer included). It never got to the part that loaded the web site blocking services. The only thing I can think of is let the user log all the way to the desktop but also they can see everything, that's why I need to create a specifics policy for each user. Hope you can catch all this...if it make any sense. If anyone has a better idea throw it my way to try it.

Everything looks ok. Here's what I'm trying to accomplish. Create user1 profile to be able to run IE only when they log on to the win2k server. Everything else is not shown. I did it with NT 4.0 but don't know how in win2k. Anyone have a step by step??? thanks

I've created a "test" user. Still can't seemed to make the policy stick using MMC. I just wanted to remove the "RUN" from start menu when user "test" log in. Of course administrator will have all access. Any idea??
