Well you've got a point... I don't record much music. i have an MD so music is usualy optical link netween stereo and MD. I was thinking about cd-cd copy's... I sometimes forget, not everybody has extreme HW. I never saw an example of too crappy sound card but i am sure it is there. Oh BTW there is no A/D conversion involved. i am presuming everybody can rip digital audio nowadays. Please let me have at least this!

Your config is a bit of a dodgy one... I would not run Advanced server on 256Mb definetly not on a 333 and absolutely definetly not on a AMD K6 333. Your OS is worth about 8-10 your computer. So I am presuming you do not have any licences. It will not execute without them, even if you can bypass it.

Do you have enough license(s) Media services requires a license for each concurrent broadcast and will not even configure without one

Keyword here is the winmodem. As you now they are SW modem's. However it sshould have worked no matter. Their installation is a bit dodgy as you know. You might not even notice drivers are corrupt etc. Have you tryed reinstalling it?

Compatibility does not have anything to do with it. Fax is standard apllication it is just emulating com port as a printer. And since winfax works with the same drivers it is fine. I would still put my money in to office. Have you tryed faxing something like a graphic file or a txt file?

I do use it to listen to music.... It came with the last yamaha recorder and i said what the hell. It is a bit weird and slow to start but sound seems oK. oH AND 36X RIPPING

There is no version of it in W2k. Iven if you have the full IE files for all versions it will not install. Just get her homesite or some other SW. I think it is freeware, never used it, dunno who makes it. Your other alternatives are, 1: Leave the Country 2: Hire a Hitman 3: Port FP express in to W2k yourself 4: Get her an html in 14 days book and show her how to start "notepad" Appearantly an option as stupid as reinstalling her old OS will not be listed above!

Somehow I have a feeling he is in need of a new graphics card. MI 4 uses 3d a lot (BTW wicked game!) Apps, OrCAD 9.1, MM Dreamveaver Udev, Office XP pro with FP etc, Adobe acrobat 5, Photoshop 6.01, SQL Server 2K Enterprise, IE6 & NS6, all the usual crap of winamp, winace etc., Winfax, Nav 2k1, ghost 2k1, Nero 5.5, PGP, Some small apps. It does not bother me nor does it affect me there is 1 GB Ram and 300GB HD Space
