    Disable Image Preview!

Okay, I HATE MS's shitty Image Preview launching by default when I double-click an image. I'd MUCH rather have it open in ACDSee. So, I went at my registry and figgered this out: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID\{e84fda7c-1d6a-45f6-b725-cb260c236066}\shellex\MayChangeDefaultMenu Go to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID\{e84fda7c-1d6a-45f6-b725-cb260c236066}\shellex\ and delete the subkey: MayChangeDefaultMenu Reboot. Images will now open in your default viewer by double-clicking. You can still right-click and select PREVIEW if you want to open it in Image Preview. If you want to get rid of the PREVIEW menu option entirely, you can go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID\{e84fda7c-1d6a-45f6-b725-cb260c236066}\InProcServer32 and for the (Default) Value, change the data to the exact location of your preferred image viewer, in my case: "G:\Program Files\ACD Systems\ACDSee\ACDSee.exe" Reboot. No more "Preview" option on right-click. Thought some of you might dig it, Gibletpie

    Disable Image Preview!

No, you can't change that with the File Types tab. That's what pissed me off. Under all the image file types, OPEN is the default action, and you can set it to whatever program you like. When you right-click on an image file, however, PREVIEW is the default. PREVIEW isn't even listed in options for the image file types. Only way I know to disable it is by modifying the registry. Now if anyone knows how to make the DETAILS panel stay open in folders in Webview, I'd be eternally indebted... Gibletpie
