i'm new to RAID but have just bought a raid msi k7 ultra aru. What does that mean 4 hdd and 2 opticals, also does any1 know of a good site where I can learn about setting up raid, advantages and disadvantages. thx

can i backup using task scheduler under w2k, thing is, I want to be able to backup to cd overnight. Is this possible?? Thanks in advance

thx, but ill only be backing up about 300 meg at the most, I can't get that majorgeeks link to work sampson

I had exactly the same error message with my gf3 Activsion were their usual unfriendly selves. All it took was the latest drivers, coz i was using the ones supplied and they were only the det 12's

im running w2k pro on my comp in work, i log onto it with admin privs but can't use ftp, icq, morpheus etc, if i try and use these progs on any other machine in work, its fine, works straight away. Is there something blocking my ports on my computer alone, how could i tell? ta mad2moons

doh, yeh but the thing is, my m8 has admin rights on his comp as well, but he can use ftp, icq, msn etc. I use ftp for uploading to our work site, icq for talking about ideas with other local businesses and morpheus for my smiths collection I just can't understand y all my ports seem to be blocked

I bought a Memorex 12x DVD drive and want to be able to play dvds on my tv instead of me 17" monitor. Do I have to buy a second graphics card with tv out, or just a tv card like haupauge make or a dvd decoder card? i had the same problem after a build i did, it bluescreened on w2k saying about ntoskrnl or ntkrnlmp and w90 or me wouldnt install. After stripping the machine down and starting afresh i found it to be faulty memory
