Well i gotta say i am very proud of Gigabyte, i am running 2 pc's which both use Gigabyte and they are very reliable and fast, i wouldn't hesitate to buy another gigabyte board in my life.
-
I agree there, never taken any notice of dabs for athlon cpu's.Actually from what i can tell all of dabs other athlon CPU's are more expensive like the 1700+ with fan is £10 cheaper at ebuyer. Especially the 2000+ on Ebuyer without CPU Fan is £178.05 and the same again without fan aswell it is £210.32 at dabs if u ask me thats one hell of a price difference
-
I find dabs expensive for everything apart from the AOC Monitors and thats only because ebuyer dont stock them. The only thingi have found bad with ebuyer is that they dont sell floppy drives, or at least i havent found them yet.

I got to admit what Admiral is saying is true, Opera is the fastest out of all of them. One thing with Netscape is its time that it takes to load, I havent used Opera for sometime but i think i will download it soon. -

Could a 5200RPM Fan with a 3.5cm Heatsink handle an XP 1800+? Im sick of the noise from a 7000RPM Fan. Cheers guyz
-
Change it into £'s and buy lots of Big Macs
-
This is what Sisoft Sandra 2002 gave me as the marks for my XP 1800+ which is not overclocked. here it is very strange!
-
How can my dragon orb 3 handle a cpu like that , LOL
-
ended up putting the dragon orb 3 back in as the other heatsink couldn't keep the CPU below 66degrees on a full load. Put the tower on the floor now aswell so can hardly hear the comp now and the dragon orb3 is keeping the cpu below 54degrees now that compound is on the CPU which my mate hadnt put on when he installed it for me.
-
hey guyz i just installed the 5200RPM Fan and wow so much quieter and its actually staying at around 2degrees above what the dragon orb 3 kept it at which is 55degrees now .I also put the arctic silver on like u suggested. thanx guyz for your help

I wont be planning on overclocking, just to leave the 1800+ at 1.53Ghz.

I recently got my new comp hoem after a mate built it up. It was working fine but when i turned it on last night it comes up with this Award Bootblock Bios V1.0 Bios Rom Checksum error Insert diskette and press enter and gives a loud beep before this, no bios screen is displayed either and i have read the manual and it says if this occurs then the backup bios should kick in. What disk is it after as it seems to want me to reflash bios. Thanx
-
Will have a case fan and a exhaust blower. Will have a go and see what the temps get to, etc. thanx

Ok! rang my supplier and he was inplying that i had been in the CMOS and had corrupted the BIOS 1. I haven't been in the bios 2. If i had, i know what im doing anyway 3. How the he11 could i corrupt the fu(k1ng BIOS I thought the whole point in the Dual Bios was to stop this from happening? Does Gigabyte give a service like ASUS where you can send the motherboard directly to Gigabyte themseleves and have them check it over?
