  1. Nope.... I have tried several versions of the Nvidia Detonator Drivers & no change in my problem. SVCHost still is eating resources.... I am going to try exploring the registry as DS3Circuit explained. Dunno if I can do much good.. Has anyone ever experianced this same problem?? Thanks
  2. :x I will see if that changes anything. Will keep you posted. Thanks,
  3. It seems to come up whenever I am running a graphic intensive program. Mainly games.
  4. I am consistently having a problem with SVCHOST.EXT using up extraordinary resources when I am playing a game (all types, ranging from 1st Person Shooters to Strategy games). I can "end the process" & continue playing normally for a while until it builds back up. System processor usage (from SVCHOST.EXE alone) ranges anywhere from 20% - 80%. Anyway, it is VERY annoying. I have searched through Microsoft’s website & found it to be of little help in my situation. I have also run through & found no adware running. If anyone else has had this problem in the past (and possibly solved it) please let me know. Thanks much. System Specs: Windows XP Pro P4 2.1GHz 512MB DDR GeForce 3 Ti200 Soundblaster Live 5.1 3Com 10/100 TDK CDRW Some cool lights, switchs, fans & stuff
