On the whole XP validation issue I wonder if MS has another trick in mind. What happens when the forces that be at MS decide that they don't want people running XP anymore (ie time to buy a new OS again)? Will they shut down the validation sysytem? Can they shut off exisit validations (5 year life?). My employer insists on using Windows 95 which is a perfectly reasonable OS for what they do, but MS no long supports it (ie IE 6.0 and Office 2k have issues). Anytime we ask MS for anything the response is "upgrade" - now they will have a hammer to make that happen.....
