I had that same exact problem. I just went to my theme manager and changed it to the windows xp desktop and than back to my current one and it worked though -Amnesiac 8)

It took me a long time to finally get xp to install because it kept freezing, it got to the point where I had to install windows 98. So I install winxp seperate of that and everythings dandy, than my dumb *** formats the c: and now my comp won't boot, I have xp on d: so its still there and I have win98 installed again, problem is I can't boot to XP. I need a boot.ini file...or whats in one so I can get my comp to boot to xp, please help out, thanks in advance! -Amnesiac

The only cd I have is...the basic install one...I won't go into increminating details..but ya know, I have the cd. Now on my hard drive all that is there is on D: and its XP, I just need to figure out how to get it to be recognized, thanks in advance! -Amnesiac

Add Rouge Squadron to the list of unworking games, louds up than I go to create my player and it won't let me type and I have to ctrl alt del, out of it -Amnesiac

My friend just came over and I installed Heavy Gear II, and it installed smoothly, runs fine, but when it comes to actual gameplay, it will just pause out of nowhere and its really pissin me off....I had to use whistler compatibility to get it to run however.......how can I get it to run smoothly.....anybody know? No Driver updates or anything "neato" like that, must be the most unsupported game of all time.........................................................................................................................anyway........................... -Amnesiac

Crucial is selling 256mb pc133 cas 3 ram for 59.35 and well I think i'm going to finally make the jump from 128mb pc100 lol, But I don't wanna have how you say "ram thats not up to par" so will I even be able to tell the difference between cas 2 and cas 3 latency? -Amnesiac

My friend got 512mb of ram pc133 cas 3 and his crap flies, it is 1.2ghz...but still......I was hoping to get that with my setup.. -Amnesiac

Has anyone else had this problem? Counter-strike is especially annoying, my cross hair, weapon selection, and radar all blinking.....its a real pain....Any ideas of what I can do? Any help will be greatly appreciated! -Amnesiac

SP3 hmm sounds like it said you need WINNT4.0 SP3 or above, well I had that problem with my mouse "microsoft intellimouse explorer" just update half life to the latest version and prehaps it will work, I have seperate counter-strike and it works fine for me......so, best of luck -Amnesiac

Works fine for me. Even fixed a problem I had with mame freezing. Also got a slight speed boost, from my sp1 with all driver updates, I don't see anything wrong with it, but maybe for once i'm just lucky:-) -Amnesiac

I keep trying to install my drivers and it won't work, I had it working a long time ago but I forgot how to get it to work, lol...Could somebody help me out with this, its kinda dumb that I can't just use my freakin driver cd........ -Amnesiac
