I've Probs with an old DOS Game... named Wolfpack. It runs... but only really slow... anybody know how to solve that? thx

i don't have a solution, but a hint. perhaps it'll help you. i had the same problem on my old machine with windows nt 4.0 ws, when i logged on as a user, etc. only my admin-access saved it's data correctly... i never found out what it was, but to me it looks similar to your problem. have you tried each access? let me know plz...

I used SuSE Linux for a while, but I got really pissed of configuring it, and I hated the surfaces... so I went to the shop and got myself Win2k ... now I'm happy with my single-boot

i can't guarantee you that'll work, but you can try it. some routers (don't know how many... mine has it...) come together with a software and/or driver to use it exactly like a modem from one of the connected machines (shared internet is blocked then...), so you can try to setup an internet connection that way, that you could use every time you want to play starcraft on b.net. hope i could help

I don't know the exact solution, cause I don't have the game. But many games have their exact data in a folder on the CD... copy it to your hard drive and try to start it. If that doesn't work, try to contact the developer which registry entries you should create. If they don't want to tell ya that, try to find it out on your own (using a win 98/95/me system and the registry search function...) ... if that doesn't help, search the web for a crack... esp. reg-crack. hope I was able to help ya!

I also heard that it's not so good to use a CD-Lens Cleaner Disc with a CD-Burner. But if the warranty is avoided, open your CD-Burner and clean it with these things you can use to clean your ears (sorry... I'm german *g* ... perhaps you know the word 'Wattestäbchen' ). That's the best way I know to clean the lense... haven't killed a burner with that yet... but it didn't help me much, cause the problems of these ****in' things were always elsewhere... okay... hope it'll help you

I have problems with video-programs in general. Everytime I want to start a video, my system hangs up. For example, if I want to watch a movie-trailer mpeg, double click it, and windows media player (7) loads, the system crashes. If I load QuickTime 4, for example, the program even hangs up while it loads. I can listen to audio-files with the media player, but it sucks up with videos My system: MSI-6167 Mainboard Athlon 600 Leadtek Winfast 3D S320 Toshiba DVD 6x/32x Teac CD-RW 4x/4x/32x Creative Labs Vibra16x PNP An old IDE Controller cause I need a second parallel port... it's completely disabled, except of the parallel port (and I had the same problem before I installed it) 256 MB RAM (PC-100) 10Mbit/s PCI Ethernet Seagate 20 GB Floppy Windows 2000 I had now problems with exactly this system before I switched to Windows 2000 (before I used WinME). Anybody knows what could cause this prob? Thx
