I just installed win2k to dual-boot with win98se.
System:
Abit BF6/Celeron 300A/256MB PC133/Maxtor 30MB/Quantum 9.1
SBlive and
Real3D Starfighter PCI 16MB--This video card works great with
Win98 but they quit making it and I can't find any drivers
for the PCI version in Windows 2000. So I get the default
VGA driver with 800x600 16 colors.
Should I give up and trade it off or can it be made to work?
I'm considering buying a Matrox 400 or 450 but I don't really need
to run 2 monitors. I just want a fast screen refresh for
normal windows operation and audio apps.
I liked this video card for bing PCI instead of AGP as I have
somewhere gotten the idea that AGP was less tolerant of overclocking.
Can someone confirm or debunk this theory and recommend a good cheap
video card?
Thanks,
Ken
