    Problems! Serious Win2k Problems

I've tried to make an upgrade install over Win98, thought all was going well, the setup was sucessfull, then BOOM! that problem again on the startup, WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEMd missing or corrupted , though sometimes the system did work. But most of the time i had this annoying error message and nothing i could do about it, i've even installed SP2 , all compatible drivers for win2k, VIA 4in1 1.29, still nothing.. this stupid message, what can cause this? hardware? can it be the partition table? of 15gig, 5gig ? .. (tried to install on both partitions). where should i turn to for help ?

    Problems! Serious Win2k Problems

Well, ive copied the files from the win 2k cd to a temp dir called D:\W2k\ , extracted w2ksp2.exe files to a temp dir called D:\SP2\ went to the UPDATE dir and made a batch with the command Update.exe -s:D:\W2k\ and it says "A required .DLL file, CLUSAPI.DLL, was not found." so ive found this file in i386 and copied it.. yet another problem, a missing export in ntdll.dll ... tried to copy the ntdll.dll and it didnt help, any suggestions?

    Problems! Serious Win2k Problems

I've tried installing Win2k Pro. for many times (tried both SP1 and original), and after it completes the setup I regulary run Win2k and after it completes loading (in the Logo screen) it shows a blue screen and immidiatly restarts so I can't even read what it says, then I run it again and this time in the first loading status bar (the ASCII status bar) it says the following message: "The file D:\WINNT\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEMced is missing or corrupt..." and it recommends me to go to the recovery console through the setup cd and try to fix it there, so i did, but there is nothing I can do about it in the recovery console... but there were some times when i've managed to run Win2k in safe mode then i installed the new SP2 and all my drivers for it in hope it will help, but no then it started to show peremently, and now when i run it in safe mode it shows "The file D:\WINNT\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM is missing or corrupt" <<- in this message the weird "ced" gone.. thats totally weird. oh and also some times it passes the ascii status bar but when done loading after the logo it shows CONFIG loading failed blue screen screen... Anyone has any idea of what can i do ?
