Hey guys, I found out how to fix the audio skipping in Hidden & Dangerous in Windows 2000.
If you get sound skipping, go to C:\Program Files\directx\ and click DxDiag. Go to the sound tab and drag the slider from FULL ACCELERATION to either Basic or No Acceleration and you will no longer get skipping. Not sure if this trick only applied to Sound Blaster Live! cards in Windows 2000 or what, but this fixes it and I'm so happy the audio is perfect again without needing to install Win98 to play this kick-*** game.
