how do you disable terminal services users from being able to shut down or restart the server?

I want to be able to backup once normal (full) and the rest of the week to incremental backups and append to this tape.... It won't let me use the /a and the /t command (/t specifies which tape)... How does everyone backup on the same tape using the append command? I only want to switch the tape once a week.

I added another server to the network, installed active directly, then added dns. Everything is ok. If I goto browstat status however, it doesn't show as a backup browser... I have this in the event log. Event Type: Warning Event Source: BROWSER Event Category: None Event ID: 8021 Date: 6/4/2001 Time: 5:26:27 PM User: N/A Computer: CHIEF2 Description: The browser was unable to retrieve a list of servers from the browser master \\CHIEF on the network \Device\NetBT_Tcpip_{B10C8C4F-EEEB-4012-AD3C- BA993C7B54B1}. The data is the error code.

I'm struggling with DNS. I host multiple websites on the same server and am having trouble with exchange. I wonder if DNS is the problem. Is there a guide on configuring DNS (step by step). I have a book here, but its complicated.

Please let me know of any good exchange 2000 sites.

I try and login to the server using terminal services and it tells me the server is too busy.... I've had this before, and I rebooted the server and it worked. Now it won't work anymore even if I reboot it. Any ideas???

After I mirrored my boot disk on the server, it told me that "You have mirrored your boot volume. To be able to boot from the mirror disk, add the appropriate entry to your boot.ini file" What entry is it talking about? Where can I find info? Will my server bootup properly unless I modify this boot.ini?

I have a win98 machine with two HDs. Can I move all my data to drive D and then install a fresh copy of win2k on C: and then access D drive with a problem? In other words I want to backup my data on drive D...

VPN clients who are logged in are being disconnected. I think its because of inactivity (they go and have dinner, come back and they're disconnected). Is there an autodisconnect feature I can turn off?

Where did you get win2000 sp2 from? It doesn't seem to be on the Microsoft website.

Anyone run Internet Security and Acceleration Server? It says in the event view i have a conflict with my LAT and win2000 routing table... I know where the LAT is, it seems ok, but where is my win2000 routing table? how do I look at this?

Anyone use the built in backup with win2000 server? When I open it, it shows an index of all the previous tapes that I loaded. I only want it to show the index of the CURRENT tape. Anyone know how to do this???
