How do you enable multiple downloads in IE 6.0?
ConceptVBS replied to ConceptVBS's topic in Everything New Technology
I've found the information that I need. But I dont know how to input the strings into my windows XP regedit.exe program. It seems to be a little different than the one that is listed. Here is the directions I found in the microsoft site: To increase the number of simultaneous connections that are allowed to 10, follow these steps: Start Registry Editor (Regedt32.exe). Locate the following key in the registry: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings On the Edit menu, click Add Value, and then add the following registry values: "MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server"=Dword:0000000a "MaxConnectionsPerServer"=Dword:0000000a Thanks -
How do you enable multiple downloads in IE 6.0?

Thanks for your response. Internet Explorer limits any software downloads to two(2), no more. I believe I saw some tweak that you can take this limit out. Anybody know what that is? -

Its a feature the orginal encoder put inside the movie. You cant do anything about it. Look forward to this technology all over the place in the future.

I have this file name called msm.iso.exe i got from somewhere and I was wondering how you can get rid of the .exe suffix manually. My windows xp system automatically recognized the file as an application, though I'm definite its not. Thanks

Hi, When I used to save a picture I right clicked and save it as .jpg file format. But now, when I do that, IE only brings up .bmp file format. There is no other way of choosing a different file format. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks alot pete

Hi, I upgraded my computer to Win 2k from Win 98 SE. Im thinking about reinstalling WIN 98 SE. I made my main hard drive and my second hard drive to NTFS. Is there a way that I can revert back to FAT 32 without purchasing any third party software? P.S. I dont want my files to be all deleted. And one more thing... If I can get back my main hard drive to WIN 98SE with FAT 32, can it access a NTFS second hard drive? Thanks a lot MIke

How would you dual boot? Thanks.. Mike

The reason why that administrator does not use IE might be because he has something against the monopolistic Microsoft. There is a growing movement for anti-Microsoft, especially among the Linux community. Then why not change to the Linux platform you ask? Well, the users might object to its unfamiliarity. And lastly, the administrator might have overlooked the taskbar thinking IE isnt on there. (Another example of the in-your-face attitude of Microsoft)

Hi, Most of us know that when pressing Alt+Tab, windows would minimize the program your are currently using and show the desktop. But my case is not so. When I upgraded my computer to Win2k from Win98SE, when ever I press Alt+Tab, it just restarts. This didnt happen when I had Win98SE. Any suggestions to a solution would be greatly appreciated. Thank you and may god bless your heart..=) Mike

i think what your friend meant was application compatibility utility. Its a small program located on your win 2k cd thats "tricks" your games into thinking it is running on say..win98SE...

a lesson learned...dont mess with windows..

Those games doesnt work well in the Win2k environment. I had similar problems in Win2k but there were none using win98se or the first version. As for the outlook, I am not sure if its the service pack or some other factor.
