As I said... the BIOS sucks... no way to tell WHAT the BIOS supports...

I have tried and tried and tried to install Win2K on my daughter's Compaq Presario 4814. ( 80MB RAM, 40GB Maxtor HD) I tried formatting the drive on that machine.... repartitioning it on that machine etc.... The drive works fine in other PC's and the 4 floppy setup reports no errors. It's just on the reboot.. blinking cursor and "h a n g" Too bad Compaq's support sucks.. and you can't flash upgrade the BIOS (which has a LOUSY editor and almost NO options) Any advice would be appreciated.
