tested them and they have solved all of my problems. Previously Hibernate would not work with the Liveware II drive attached. I was using SBlive value drivers from Gateway.com instead of Creatives official ones which fixed the problem but gave a few performance issues. Now Hoorah the latest drivers support hibernate with the Livedrive! Yipee - its about time Creative got their act together. I've still gone off them over this and other issues, and will probably not use them again. but better late then never. One phone call I had with a Creative tech support dude, denied there was a problem with hibernate and the LiveDrive, even though loads of people suffered from it including the reviewers of Ntcompatible when reviewing the card. DOH

Anybody with a ABIT KT7 mb got STR working with Win2k? I can get it to work with the YP beta bios version ABIT released ages ago, but it doesn't work with later versions. Hibernate works fine. Any Suggestions?

ANybody suffering from STR not working with a KT7x board in windows 2000. Should email johntsai@abit.com.tw with a basic hardware setup and software setup on your system. This will help them track down the problem. They also want to know if YP beta bios (which was release yonks ago) fixed the problem. If it did and the latest bioses made the problem come back then they really want to here from you! Johntsai@abit.com.tw

Sorry mate, just tested it myself and no change - STR just does not work in win2000 with this bios. Only YPbeta bios works with STR. Anyone know if ABIT will fix this issue?

I recently wiped my friends packard bell PC and installed win2k on it. Works ok. Doesn't support ACPI, dunno why as the bios has ACPI options in it, doesn't matter though as hibernate still works. The main problem is my friends packard bell keyboard has a power button on it which on the pre installed win98 he used to run would shut down the PC. In windows 2000 however it shutsdown but leaves a message saying it is now safe to turn off the computer instead of cutting the power supply. Aha - ACPI problem I hear you say, or non ATX board. Well it is a ATX board, and If I select Shutdown from the menu it powers off fine. All Suggestions welcome

yep tried that one already. If I shutdown using the keyboard button - it won't power off If I shutdown via the startmenu it will. Many Thanks All Suggestions Very Welcome

if you are using 1.11 drivers then try using the 1.03b drivers from Highpoint-tech.com as win2000 users report alot of problems with the latest ones.
