Ok, this is kind of an odd problem. Today I booted up and decided to download 3d mark 2k and noticed that it listed my system specs as having only 384mb RAM. This is odd because I have 512mb. I restarted a couple times and still, only 384mb. I then went into the BIOS and set my RAM timings to normal (they were on turbo), and disabled fast POST. It read all the RAM twice and said it was 384mb. Then, I shut down and took out my second chip of 256mb and booted up. Oddly enough it showed my 1st chip as only having 128mb! So, now I know which chip is funky. I then tried it in every DIMM and it reported as 128mb in each, so I'm doubting it's a problem with the motherboard. Any ideas here guys? 2x 256mb Crucial PC2100 DDR. Unbuffered, NOT ECC. Was NOT overclocking at the time, but was using the Turbo setting for the RAM. Epox 8KHA+ mobo, Athlon XP 1700+

After an extreme attack of about 5 BSOD's last night I finally gave up and shut down. Then, this morning I booted up and it tells me that my command.com file is missing or corrupt and that I should point to its location. I tried pointing to c:\windows\system32, but it said the DOS version was incorrect. When trying to get into the startup menu it takes me into a Windows 98 startup screen and none of the options work (safe mode, logged...). All the regular Windows XP "restore to previously stable state", or whatever it said no longer exsist. Any way I can get this command.com file back into place? Thanks

Are there any programs that will let you remap keyboard keys, or are they basically set in stone? I use the keypad all the time when filling in forms and typing numeric passwords, but I always have to use the other hand or reach over to Tab to the next textbox. If possible, I'd like to change the asterix key and make it tab, as I never use it anyway. I know this probably sounds stupid, but it's just a small annoyance for me.

I see that the Sound Blaster 16 is listed as working on Windows 2000. Anybody know what drivers they used? Thanks
