ok, need a little help here with final fantasy 7 under win2k pro. I have service pack 2 and the latest application compatability update, along with the application compatability toolkit. When I run ff7 normally, i just get a blank screen, when I run it in win95/98 compatability mode, the game does'nt start, it just stays on the desktop. I tried running it with the apcompat tool, but it just crashes. I've got the riva tnt patch for ff7, and have tried fiddling with my display settings to no avail, I was originally using the 12.00 dets, but switched to the 7.58's, but this did not make a diffference. My specs are: athlon 800mhz msi k7t mobo creative sb!live xentor32 tnt2 ultra 128mb ram win2k pro sp2

Hey there. I'm running win2k pro and I've got an issue with my recycle bin. The problem is that even whenever I empty the recycle bin, i get an error message saying "cannot remove folder COMPDATA: The directory is not empty", even tho there is no such folder in it or anywhere on my computer, it still deletes all the files tho. I've tried deleting the contents of the recycle bin through dos, but to no avail and I have no idea what caused this problem, any ideas?

Okay guys, slightly strange problem here that is really doing my head in. I just did a fresh install of win2k, installed all the latest drivers and updated to sp2. The problem is, when I play any kind of sound file (mp3, midi etc..) on my comp, regardless of the program I use, the sound is very choppy. It's normal for a few seconds, then it slows down, then normal, then slow etc. It's fine with music off a CD, but anything off the hard drive has this problem. I've tried playing with different hardware accelerations levels and sample conversion rates, but the problem remains. I just migrated from win98, which never had this problem. Any ideas as to how to solve this prob? Here are my specs: Athlon 850mhz MSI K7T pro -using on board AC97 sound 256mb Ram Highpoint ATA133 hard disk controller 60Gb Ibm HD Tnt2 Ultra Cheers in advance

Hiya, my problem is this, I like to pay games with winamp running in the background so I can listen to my own music. Win98 did this fine, but in win2k pro, with most games I've played recently (civ 3, diablo 2, rtcw), winamp scips and jolts on songs, as if its not getting enough CPU time, its fine when run on its own and most other app (such as Ie). I've tried changing the performance options to optimise for background services, and created a batch file for winamp to start it with a higher priority, but for some reason whenever I use this, or change the priority manually thorugh task manager, its fine for a few seconds, but then the priority seems to go down to normal automatically and winamp will start stuttering. I've installed all the latest updates for win2k and am running the latest drivers for all my hardware, I have also tweaked win2k a fair bit. Does anybody know how to stop this skipping? system specs: AMD 800 t/bird MSI k7T(6330) mobo 128mb RAM Xentor 32 tnt2 ultra Creative SBLive value

ok, this is probably a silly question, but is there a program out there that will convert an ntfs drive back to fat32 without formatting? If not, what formatting program will do this, as there does seem to be anything on the win2k cd to do this conversion.
