I already have the newest codec for divx the openDML 4 and 5 and the newer divx 3.2. I remember once seeing a program that could encode straight to divx in a color depth of 256 colors instead of 16million. I think it might have been the older flask but im not sure. Anyone out there know of a program or codec in divx that out puts it to a color depth of 256? P.S. Mpeg is fine too

I'll admit also that I do have a copy of Win2k thats not legit but i also have a copy(legit as a gift) that is(really bad condition(newbie who knew not the power of NT)) so I prefer to use the better version . I do feel bad sometimes using pirated software (im an OS freak) In pirated versions I have all version of windows except the buck stops at win2k pro. I dont have 2k server or advanced server(I dont find any reason why I really should). I don't have legit copies of win95a and niether ME(ME is currently crucified on a cross nearby(yes im talking about the non-legit copy thats how much I hate it). But i have bought all versions of windows within a year of being realeased except 95(2 years). Im the type of person that "if I could afford it id buy it" , but dont get me wrong, if I had the money and money was no object id gladly buy all my friends software without hesitation...hell I would not mind buying you guys without legit copies the real deal.

Im trying to make a backup of my 2k cd and see if i can MOD it to include new files....I just hope it does not run CRC checks on the CAB's or their files.

Have you tried a bare installation? no driver or software? What is your version (2195 for me) Might be bad ram have you run a check to see if the ram is completely ok?(norton has a util for that) I have my current system(win2k pro)running for about the sixth day now and it hasn't flinched as far as I can tell and it does not lag the network and I ALWAYS LEAVE IT ON<<<< dust is accumiliating on the power button as we speak.(cant access it cause a monitor went bad and the other are to old to use cause of resolution issues) Im guessing it a hardware issue and not the OS unless it's CD is defective or damaged.
