    tv-out on graphic cards

If your ti4400 is VIVO then it will have a philips chip The Video in only cards have slightly better quality as they use the conexant chip, but in reality tv-out is pretty bad no matter how you look at it I prefer ATi also when it comes to this, im sure you could get a Radeon 9000/9700 for a good price, well the 9000 anyway You might even wanna look into the 7xxx series as they also have good TV-Out, but obviously youll lose 3d performance. The only complaint that i really had with my ti4400 was that it wouldnt let me run a TFT and the TV at the same time, it had to be a normal monitor on the VGA connector + TV. The 9700 now lets me do this and i find the ATi ones easier to setup

Does Dell favour Nvidia? over ATI?

Well all i can say is im running a 9700pro as we speak with dual monitor (1tft and 1 crt) so they are obviously talking outta there ass

Yeah same here, it did 0.01MB

  7. Well having owned pretty much every nvidia card since the TNT, i suppose you could have called me an nVidiot but then i jumped the bandwagon and got an 8500. Best card ive ever owned and i wish i hadnt sold it and got a gf4, but hey Ill definatly be buying this r300, anyone want a ti4400 ?
  8. Got mine today as well Ive only really got minor complaints at the moment but you can see it needs a driver update And ive just been playing BF1942, in 1280x1024 with 4xFSAA and 16xAF Just disable the shadows in the game and it 'should' be ok, and make sure your using the latest leaked drivers so you get text in the menus.

    Detonator 40.41

Just thought you guys would like to know, det 40.41 is now posted on the nvidia site Not tested performance but they have a very cool control panel with some cool new options
  15. Yeah but the point is that DOS games generally DO work in 2000 with little/no fuss, so whats the point in setting up a dual boot, or using and entirely new PC.
  16. How are your fingers after typing all that And its pretty cool that they can do things like that

    Which GeForce to buy?

Of those 2, ti200 easily, but im sure you could find a Radeon 8500 or Radeon 9000 for not much money. The ti200, authough it clocks well isnt exactly fast at its stock speeds.
  18. Well yeah....its a brand new card, what do you expect and they have already said that problems such as BF1942 crashing will be fixed in the next driver release.
  19. Winrar is the best You can do practically everything you want without opening the actual program (via right click menus), and it gives you an awesome progress bar when its unpacking Also it doesnt bug you with those stupid "buy winzip now" type boxes when you do things via the right click menus

    Detonator 40.41

Well ive had a quick play with these drivers, and have just taken a few quick screenies Here is the standard driver with no tweaks at all. http://www.btinternet.com/~m4carbine/pic2.jpg And here is the same driver with 1x D3D ansio on. http://www.btinternet.com/~m4carbine/pic1.jpg Just check out the terrible filtering (or lack of) on those scales on the first pic. Maybe this is part of the increase in performance that some ppl are seeing 1x Ansio seems to clear it up but its off by default
