This game really worth buying. It convinced me (I always hated this kind of games) to love the D&D genre. But it's sad to play with minimum details (damned kyro 2) The graphic looks very nice maxed out...

No! I can assume everyone that this problem isn't related to VIA and SBLive combo. I got these distortions in UT too and I'm running on a BX chipset with a SBLive Value from the first generation. The solution for me was only to upgrade SBLive XP driver.

Personnaly, I think doom3 will be a revolution of 3d graphics, the AI, gameplay, replayability and originality revolution will be done by.............Duke Nukem Forever (if they launch it before the third world war

for those who claims that SOF2 is SOF1 with new map, don't forget they upgraded to a new engine, which better effects, more polys, more details... but yes, the game feels like the first, with better gfx

Gta3 is simply not optimized to the pc platform, it is only a lame PS2 port...

On my 850 P3, UT2003 demo runs very nicely with a gf2mx400 Every settings to max in the .ini, 800x600 (I would say about 30fps) And damn, what a great game! the graphics are incredible!

Anyone got this very annoying problem with winamp? Normally, when I play a mp3, winamp takes about ~2-3% of the cpu time. When I close it, the process stay runnin in the task manager and the CPU time of WINAMP.EXE climb to ~95%. I must end the process manually to correct the problem. I know that i'm not the only with this problem (it does the same on others Win2k/XP workstations), and I find this very annoying, especially because I love winamp. Any ideas?

First of all, I have Winamp 2.8, but it does this since the 2.76 I think. I've tried to reinstall it, to reinstall windows, but it still does this funky trick. and don't forget that it is only when I close it that the cpu time climb to 95% But as I am looking to the plugins I have, I remember that I'm using the nullsoft crossfader as output, so mayve it is the problem.

the built-in PPPoE of XP works flawlessly, my dsl runs at maximum speed with low pings, so the move to RASPPPoE is absolutely not necessary. Maybe on 2K, but not on XP

Look for the 1.035 patch(i.e. on google), released in 2000. it works flawlessly for me in Win2K/XP

Thanks for the tip, I was looking for something like this in XP. That's what I really hate about XP. It doesn't give us the RIGHT tools. Only stupid choices for newbies. Especially in networking. I never found the way to give an access to my computer to my brother on a workgroup without the stupid Guest account that is absolutely not safe. In win2k we can give personal access over a workgroup (and the option is no buried under stupid pages for newbies). But unfortunately I like XP

We got the same ****in problem on the PC of my bro when we tried to install XP. The system froze at "Setup is starting Windows". We tried to install with 3 different mobo or another cdrom drive. And yes, he have a Geforce2 MX400... We got the same problem with his old GF2MX. It is probably the problem, we will certainly try with another videocard.

well, if this guy have a TNT1, the detonators aren't compatible with this chipset. However if it's a TNT2 64, I will shut the **** up and everybody will be happy

I agree with almost everybody here; EZCD 5 sucks hard. I decided to go for EZ CD 4, which is actually working perfectly (w/ patch 4.05) without hassle in Windows XP (even if a message claim that both aren't compatible). It is maybe a luck I got, but it worth the try (i prefer it to nero which disapointed me a lot in the past). finally for the image files, I use fireburner

I used the 3.55 on Windows XP with a 1220S scanner and it works flawlessly! take a look on the umax website, they give informations and drivers/updates about Windows XP on their Q&A page

Oh and I forgot this one www.flashbios.org this guy is living in netherland but I personnally had to recover my bios and I sent it to him. 2 weeks after (and I am living in canada) I got it fully working with the latest bios version. Go for this one, I really recommend him
