Am I the only one who thinks Win ME sucks?

Quote: A virus huh? I wasn't aware that virus' have platforms that enable users to run apps, play games, surf the net, route dsl/cable modems, set up LANs, do graphics, program, and etc. etc..... Sounds to me like it is an OS, not a virus. ME does not suck. If you don't like it, then don't run it. Its as simple as that. I use it for my games. Its a great gaming OS, therefore, to me, it has a very good purpose. Quit bashing it if you don't know what you are talking about. Give MS a little credit....geez. Why don't you just install linux and see how far you get with that....then maybe you guys will appreciate ME and MS in general. Doesn't SUX huh ?? hehehehe .. sure .. well in order to find out whether or not it SUX (WHICH WE ALL KNOW IT DOES !!) one has to run it first .. right ?? .. so most of the ppl here who say it SUX (majority) know this because they had to find out the HARD WAY !!

  4. I found a workaround that works for me (doesn't mean it's gonna work for YOU but it's worth a try From what i been told is the first time u use the patch (reset and popup)it basically captures your registery settings (or something like that) .. now most ppl do this just after they installed winxp (makes sence cause that's when the evaluation starts) .. this also means in MOST casses that they haven't set there DUN settings (password/username etc etc)yet .. What i did is install winxp then did my DUN settings rebooted and THEN run the patch .. the point of all this is that it captures the registery AFTER the DUN setting have been done .. so everytime u run the reset patch after that it will restore your registery making windows believe it's day 1 of the evaluation .. BUT this time it will also include your DUN settings. Another option could be to do the patching after the winxp install then setting your DUN and then running the patch again (haven't tested this). Anyways hope this help some of u guys out .. cause it gets pretty anoying retyping your password over and over again. Good luck p.s. Maybe i did not explane this correct .. but who cares as long as it works (for me at least;) ooh yeah and sorry for the crappy english

    Network Prob

In some cases it's a good idea to try Netbeui when your win2k/win98/winxp machines can't c each other .. in the case of winxp it's located on the winxp cd in this folder : VALUEADD\MSFT\NET\NETBEUI .. just read the installation instructions there.
