yea, 5.5.2.3 or better works fine. Mind you, it's probably smart to wait on RTM of XP until they come out with XP versions of your favorite programs, it's the only way things are going to be fixed completely, that includes drivers Putting 2000 apps and drivers on XP within RC1, RC2, or when it's RTM is just reducing the speed and stability, but who am I to talk, I'm doing that right now with RC2, but I pay the price, because until I put on 2000 drivers, I could shut down and reboot, now, all I can do is hit the power switch to fire it down, very bad, but anyways, i'm talking too much. Nero 5.5.2.3 or better works fine here. Nuff said now

heh, it's not a bug in windows, because it happens in all OS, I've even had it happen in Mandrake 7.1, while booting up, i have a GeForce 2 MX 400, no problems, it has to do with your video card and how it is settled in the AGP slot, shut down computer, pull out the card completely, firmly put it back in, then reset your bios defaults, then go back in and make sure Int Display First is set to AGP, and try it then. Now, this may or may not work for you, it worked for my friend when I did it to his system, may as well give it a try.

exactly, cept i haven't caused trouble at all for the past month, I tried to tell Phillip that, hence, he can't unban my nice 950 post user, so I have to start from post 1 all over again. But no problems and there never will be any problems. right clutch?

it's a problem with some 2000 driver you installed most likely

where are people seeing these drivers? they are not on Creative's site at all. -
check your bios for that 14-15 MB Memory Hole thing (I think that's what it's called), if it's on, turn it off, disabled it.

Ok, so my friend here has Celeron 533 384 MB RAM GeForce 2 MX 400 64 MB AGP (Asus 7100 I guess) Windows 98 (God forbid) now...he has latest Via, latest DirectX, and 12.41 det drivers, and latest flashed bios for his mobo. 3DMark 2001 gives him a 1400 mark 3DMark 2000 gives him a 2200 mark with 800 X 600 at 32-bit @ 75 Hz To him, he says that is slow for his video card, and that in UT, he should be getting about 85 to 100 fps running at 800 X 600 within the game itself, I find that hard to believe, but anyways. What can he do to speed up the framerate? Thanks.

I need to know of some good CPU Idling programs, ones that help keep the cpu idle as much as possible, I can't find any and I don't know if CPU Idle actually does just that or not.

if you have Nvidia-based card and SB Live, Blizzard says that you must have latest Nvidia and Creative drivers for this one error that happens. As far as saying "no video modes", try some of these. Right click on the "My Computer" Icon. Click on "Properties". Click on the "Performance" tab at the top. Click on the "Graphics" button on the bottom. Check to make sure the "Hardware Acceleration" is set to either "All accelerator functions", or "Most accelerator functions". If this is set to either "No accelerator functions", or "Basic accelerator functions" the video test will not find any video modes for Diablo II to run with. Enable DirectDraw & Direct3D Acceleration. Adjust the AGP/clk to 1/1 and the PCI/clk 1/3 in your BIOS. Make sure you have the latest video card drivers available from our drivers page (http://www.blizzard.com/support/diablo2/problems/drivers.shtml). Latest version of Direct X installed. Run dxdiag.exe and make sure video acceleration is not disabled. Check to make sure you have the latest driver for the monitor. Or monitor manufacturers driver installed.

ok, this sucks. Relisys has no Windows 2000 drivers on their site and I was wondering if anybody knew where I could get some drivers, hacked or not or if there is a resolve for this issue, cuz not only can I not use it in 2000, I can't use it in XP either. Any ideas?
