if you installed Take Two when you installed EZCD creator that would explain why your windows is not shutting down correctly. If you check the Roxio website you will find the solution to your problem there. Short answer is do not install Take Two. I have been running EZCD creator 5 with absolutely no problems what so ever. I haven't had any problems myself with games in win2k even undying. I say go for it. or wait for XP. chow

Yes, you will need to either 1)re-install a more recent build of directx 2) find a link to the dx uninstaller and use it to uninstall directx 3) reformat and re-install windows. chow Steve

Yep that is why you are getting that message because it is a beta of directx. You need to find a DX uninstaller and give that a try. If it does not work you have no other choice than to reformat and re-install windows. Steve

hey JohnnyLaRue I know what hanging you are talking about and there is a reg hack you can do to get rid of that wait. run regedit and go here hkey local machine/software/microsoft/current version/explorer/remote computer/namespace and delete the key {D6277990-4C6A-11CF-8D87-00AA0060F5bF} and you will notice a difference right away. no need to re-boot. chow.
