The most powerful feature of this package are so called smart objects( smart line, smart rectangle,...) which simplify drawing as much as possible. Check with your LAN admin and ask him to unblock the pages and if he says no then your out of luck and surf those sites from home only. I'm sorry but I will not help you to circumvent the security your LAN admin has set up. S

Verizon DSL slows down P2P after the trial period is over.
thatsteveguy replied to docdestructo62's topic in Slack Space
Kazaa ports are blocked now by most ISP so I suspect that it is your ISP that has it set to kill your connection or slow it down so much untill you just stop using the P2P app. S -
are you overclocking anything? If so bring everything back to normal. If using two sticks of ram take one at a time out and test.. do you still get crashes. do the crashes only happen using certain programs and not others? S

Make sure you are not getting interference from another source. S

did you remove any previous Nvidia driver that may have been installed? Have you checked your bios to make sure that all AGP settings are correct? run DXdiag and make sure that all the info there is correct (ie is AGP Texture Acceleration enabled?) S

So I suggest you run setup again and select yes to install DX9 and it should skip it if its installed already. Actually it will install some files (for DX9.0c) unless you allready have the August update. Regardless it won't be a big deal. S

What is your power supply, If your unplugging devices and it's starting up then it might just be a power issue. As in you don't have enough. and Relic then why did you feel the need to post to tell him you won't help. If your just gonna be an ASS then don't reply at all. S

Others may disagree but I never swap a motherboard and not do a clean re-install after. It will solve alot of headaches in the future and it's the easiest way to ensure a stable system afterwards. S
-
or instead of going through all that you could have just re-installed your chipset drivers and chances are it would have worked... has for me in the past everytime actually.. S

This is a pyramid scam and nothing more. You should know better then to think that something like this is legit. And if you really believe that you will get a free PC then I have a bridge and some land to sell you. S

I doubt this will help but when I had that problem it turned out to be my USB printer that has slots for SD cards and such. As soon as I turned off my printer (it happened to be on) then I could install no problem. It seems windows XP did not like to see any Removable media slots as it would try to install XP there! Disconnect any externals ones if you have them and give it another go. S

They cancelled the PC version of the game (which should tell you something about how good?! this game is....) It's not surprising as none of the games were any good. S

You should also get rig of unnecessary resident programs to increase free memory space. You can use RegCleaner or something like that (possible just to delete all autostartuping programs manually - from Startup and from WinRegistry using RegEdit). Actually although it may run on 128mb, to just say it is enough is way off base. you want at least 512MB to run xp. While he should still scan for what you mentioned it is far more likely that this is a ram issue. S

Question about Ghosting & Security, (norton Ghost)
thatsteveguy replied to zytec's topic in Everything New Technology
If you are concerned about some data being ghosted and recovered what I would suggest is you get a Wiping/Erase program. Use the Erase feature to delete what you want(the erase feature should overwrite those areas) then defrag and use the program to Wipe your free space then Ghost your image. S -
Yep I have seen that before. The card is fried and should be returned. PS. return it with copies of those pictures and they should replace it. S

go to a command prompt and release the ip then renew and see what happens. ipconfig /release ipconfig /renew S

are you making sure that the "line in" option in your sound settings is not muted as it is normally muted by default. In which case just get rid of the checkmark under the line in option to 'unmute ' it. Now I am assuming that your are plugging in both video and sound from the camera to the sound card. S

You may still want to try a bios update anyways if there is a more recent one. Althought they may not mention a fix for ATI cards they may have fixed a voltage or timing issue with agp that might fix your problem. then post back with news. S

Most times when i get errors like that during an install it indicates you have an issue with your RAM. does your comp have one stick or two?. if you have two then take one out and try again if it fails one more time then switch the stick of ram for the other one and try again. If you only have one stick in the computer then see if you can borrow some as it would be a pain to buy some only to have the issue again and I don't want to make you spend money for a fix that might not work. try that first and also if you can provide more details as to your system specs, IE mobo video card Os etc txs S
