Do not get a FX. They do not run Farcry in PS 2.0 mode, while R3x's do. Could mean problems with other future DX9 games. I also recommend a PC&Power PSU. 5 year warranty, and the best rails in the buis.

Ok.. it seems installing new video drivers did the trick. No idea why, but thats all I did, rebooted and now I have all the themes.

Topic pretty much says it all. I just installed RTM, build 2600. BOth RC1 and RC2 had the new XP themes. For some reason a clean install of 2600 doesnt. I check in add/remove, dont see them there. Any ideas?

Yes. I have the Abit KT7-Raid. XP auto installs them by itself. I went to device manager to check, my Raid drivers were installed just fine. Click on the driver details, and the HPT370 drivers are in fact installed. I currently have my HD on the ATA/100-Raid IDE plug, all is well.

Do you have to have anything extra to run this? Or just install it and then you can choose it from appearences like the Silver theme?

I got that same error. For some reason I couldnt burn a .iso with it. So I extracted all the files to a folder, and burned a cd. Booted up to a cmmand promt, and tried to run the setup.exe. It too told me that I couldnt run that in DOS mode. So, I extracted them to my D: drive (my old 1gig Swap file) and ran the setup.exe from withing Windows. At the time I was on RC1. I selected to choose the drive to install it on, it rebooted and I have two option. Continue with XP setup, or boot into my old XP. I chose XP setup, from there it just installed it like normal, deleted my old XP, and reinstalled 2526 on C: Drive. I know it sounds odd, and somewhat confusing, but its not. If you can just extract all the files to a dir, run the setup from there, and of course choose 'Clean Install', and follow it from there.

I too have 2505 RC1, and used the crack. However, it says upon boot up that I need to register it within 4 days now. No matter if I choose yes or no, it does nothing. So can I assume the crack worked? I ran a little prog called wininfo, and it tells me that the expiration date is Jan 16 2002 @ 12:12am. I was told it would be ok... maybe Im just looking for a bit more confirmation.

Arg! I think it was when I installed Nortan AntiVirus. I have since uninstalled it. Now it does restart, doesnt matter if I hit shutdown or restart, it always restarts. It just takes at least 3 minutes to do. So its either that, or manually restart it, and wait for it to thru the file checker. Maybe RC2 will fix it

It did it when I first installed it, then 2-3 days later it stopped. It just says "Windows is shutting down". Used to take about 5 seconds to be off totally. Now it just sits there with that message. Does the same for 'Restart' or 'Shutodwn'. Only thing I have installed is a few games, and some apps. Tribes, Tribes 2, Office XP, mIRC, Winamp, Roger Wilco, and a few other various apps.
