Ghost Tech

A pc I am working on caught a worm virus which modified the reg and won't boot. I tried to format but it said hard drive not detected and won't boot. I formatted it on another PC and when I reinstalled it won't detect the hard drive. The only way I can get it to detect is if it is on Secondary Master or Slave. Anyone know why it is not detecting under Primary Master??? There is also no jumper for the cmos. Don't asus boards have jumpers to reset??? System Specs: AMD 1ghz Asus A7V IBM 40GB 256mb ram Thanks

Just installed win2k on a friends PC with SP2 and Norton Antivirus 2001. When I run a norton antivirus scan it reads scanned master boot records 0. The system takes 3 min to boot and runs slower than the same system I have. Overall system performance is poor. Specs for the system: P3 500mhz 128MB RAM 6GB HD Thanks in Advance
