I would say Lite-On is prolly over all the best, specially if you are concerned about being able to back up sd2 protected games, these burners will burn all protection flawlessly.....I also have a tdk which is awesome but wont record sd2....fyi liteon also sells under the name Cendyne...

Well I just installed it on my IBM Thinkpad and the install went well. The only problem I have is when I go into control panel and select the Add/Remove icon i get this "Parser Message" Value Creation Failed " at line 472. and it wont let me into the add/remove box. I also installed it on my IBm netvista PC and the same thing, so I tried my white box pc and still the same prob. all three machines run legit copies of xp pro. Looks like it might be a bug, let me know if anyone else has this problem.

well if you use a PPoPE dsl connection you can run it as a sheduled task....here is some software you can use to do it and the instructions on how to set it up to start automatically. http://user.cs.tu-berlin.de/~normanb/

I have the 6100 USB and looks like it is not made for XP..anyone have this and have a remedy??

Has anyone got this to work on XP Pro Edition, I'm running the final retail build and it installs but drivers are not digitally signed and therefore when I try to read the cards it acts like there is nothing there... any help would be greatly appreciated:D

did you right click my computer and choose properties, then select Remote Tab..then make sure remote assistance it enabled..you prolly did but, that is all I can think of..I'm behind a home network and had that same problem..I made all the necassary adjustment on my server to allow the traffic on those ports and nothing was working..finally found that and bingo it worked :D good luck:D

all who oppose and locked this thread...guess you live in a perfect world were piracy don't happen..yeah right..I'll bet half if not more on ths message board have the devils own copy of XP..... has anybody had problems with the devils own after doing the latest ms update for the past while, i have had some unexplained BSOD c/w stack dumps resulting in reboots i don't know if it is related to my v3 drivers which i installed, i installed the g.o.d. ones over the original xp supplied ones. i also notice more BSOD recently, and there was a MS UPDATE for SBLIVE and CRITICAL PATCH for AUG-OCT i am running devils own 2600 xp pro (for testing purposes) the most common error is wvm32.sys or something like that (i am not at the pc where i wrot the eror down) i must say that (if it isn't the v3 drivers) i have had MORE BSOD with this O.S. than with win2k and win98se COMBINED in the same amount of time! i love this o.s. but am not fully convinced of it's usefullness over win2k right now..... this after using it for a month or so now.... i have pretty much found that the user interface and nice screenies and colors are the only difference (basically) to win2kpro i like the logon screen and it's features i like the new user interface but it isn't worth it over stablity (oh the gripe i have is with creative labs as well) but that is a whole different story.....

any one using rc1 with a PPoPE client software...I use winpoet to access my earthlink DSL and it does not seem to work with xp...when it goes to load it say's I must have a least one ethernet adapter attached to my pc....which I do and it has no problems.....for some reason it thinks it's not there....if I remember right xp has built in PPoPE support...maybe it is taking over my ethernet card and that is why winpoet thinks it's not there...anyone eXPerience this....or have any ideas of what I can do...

worked perfect for me, the only thing that is screwy is the quick launch bar jitters when it is unhid from the top..so i just diabled it and all is good

well best thing to do is try it out if you have the game...I personally don't have it but would love to try.

I loved that feature in win2k, where it only showed the proggies you use the most, so does xp not have that feature in it???

I had it installed on RTM 2600 and it kept blocking my PPoPE connection ..had to dump it and use Norton firewall...much better
