I also tried that, didn't work, too... But anyway, i got it running now, i've downloaded the latest compatibility patch from MS and selected compatibility mode "Win98" for XvT. Now the game is running :-)

I am logged on as administrator, not just as user with administrator rights... But thx anyway :-)

I'm trying to use X-wing vs. Tie-Fighter under W2k. On this site it says that it should be possible with admin rights, but i can't start the game. When trying to launch the game the dialog for installing DirectX appears (i'm currently using DirectX 8). Is anyone able to play the game on W2k or do you have any suggestions? (Setting the compatibility mode to Win95 does not work) Thx Redhorse
