oh, btw, i got the USB version and it works fine. the parrallel versin, after talking with logitech and testing it under 98, does not work for my system. it works tho on my sisters system. so .. she has a shiny new webcam.

Alright, I posted this in the NT4 area (oops) so i'll repost here... I have a quickcam VC Parrallel port version (The USB oen will be here tommorrow and will work with less problems *hopes*)... XP knows its there, but i cant get the software to install right... it wont detect it working, nor will it work .. when i attempt to use it (under yahoo) it says no webcams found... is the QC VC just too old even if it has W2K support? Thanks Adam

alright, on the W2K page it says that the QuickCam VC is compatiable, install the NT drivers off of hte cd (done).. and then go download the 5x version of the software, however, there is no 5x version of the software for the parrallel port version. it's all USB.. unless i'm blind or something but .. yeah.... any help owuld be appreciated --Starblazer
