    Slow start menu

    anyone know why my start menu is slow with shadows enabled in xp? it hesitates when opening and closing it. I have a athlon 1.4 Ghz and 512 MB DDR so its sholdnt be slow. Also, what do i need to enable DMA66/100 if its not already enabled? -Russell
