I am going to purchase a Wireless hub and network cards. I don't know very much about them and don't know which brand i should go with. The cable modem will run directly into the HUB and then what not. I will only be running 2 computers off of it so it doesn't need to be something super fancy. Any input will be helpful

I had a compaq laptop, what a piece of junk. So i heard about this company who makes Sony's laptops (or so i heard) called Sager. Sager - the best notebook ever. I swear it's as close to owning a desktop as anything. Not one problem to report yet (over a year of use). Compaq, Dell, and whoever else, throw it in the trash. www.sagernotebooks.com Go there to buy your next laptop. Best damn prices i've ever seen too.

I have an Athlon 1ghz with 256 mb 133 ram. I'm looking to upgrade my system here soon, but i don't want to blow a huge wad of cash. I haven't read anything on the latest P4's and Athlon XP's except that XP's cost less. For my money, which chip should i go with. I mainly play games, some music editing, but other than that, nothing to extensive. If a P4 - What would be a good card, with DDR preferrebly, and same for A-XP. I'm looking in the 2 ghz range, anything above 1.8 is cool. And is RDRAM better for a P4 system than DDR. I just preordered the Geforce 4 Ti4600 - freakin stoked, so if that will infulence what advice you can give me.

Ok, my comp is all jacked up right now, running rediculosly slow, and explorer and internet explorer are both not running, ctrl alt delete (task-manager) is super funky, nothing is going right. Heres my problem. I have 2 partitions and they are both NTFS partitioned. 20 gigs each, (40 gig total hard drive space). On partion one; i have Windows 2000, all my programs, games, MS Office, documents, pictures, what not, (i dunno why i did it that way, but some how i did, even though I didn't want it that way) and on my second partition I have lots of downloaded stuff; mp3's, movies, and misc downloads (no, not ****). Now, I know i need to format my partitions. I know i need Win98 on the first partition, but it is NTFS (which i need to switch to FAT32) and Win2000 on the second partition (which is also NTFS). Now, do i make both partitions FAT32 or do i make it partition 1:FAT32 , partition 2:NTFS. Heres how i was thinking of doing it: Move any important files from Part 1 to Partition 2 (where win2000 will be installed). Reformat partition 1 and install Win98. After i do that, move all my files back to partition 1 (music, movies, documents, pictures) then reformat partition 2 and install Win2000. And my last question is - Before i Install Win2000, do I have to install dos or something on partition 2 because in the past when i have done a clean install i get a funky stop error. If I do have to, how do Install DOS onto partition 2. Thanks NPOSCE

Win 2000: When i open up internet explorer or windows explorer, it loads the information, but pauses, then allows me to open the next webpage or folder. When i open a folder or webpage, the process repeats. It took me 3 minutes to open up 2 folders in explorer. If someone can help me out, that would be great. nposce
