This is a link to a thread Ive posted on another board. SOLTEK 75 KAV The first post, by me, says this: ----------------------- I got the motherboard SOLTEK 75 KAV and I recently upgraded my processor from 750 DURON to AMD Palomino XP 1800+ To do that I upgraded the bios and it worked fine. The problem occured when I didn´t upgrade my RAM. It seems like they are a bottleneck for the processor since it only runs at 1150mhz. I got the SDRAM PC100 type. Now i was wondering what kind of RAM to use if I wanna upgrade? Soltek 75 KAV info! Soltek 75 KAV FAQ SOLTEK 75 KAV Bios Info! I plan to use either 512MB SDRAM PC133 or, if possible, 512MB DDR PC2100 266MHz. There have also occured a problem since installing the processor I upgraded too, graphic glitches and bugs show quite often in Counterstrike and Dark Age Of Camelot. Any suggestions as to what might cause that problem? I used to OPTIMIZED DEFAULT option in the BIOS SETUP after installing it by the way. --------------- Please come with any advice you might have!! It seems to occur only when using the OpenGL mode in CS and not when using the D3D. But since D3D looks poorer in CS I would like to solve the problem instead of changing to D3D.

I recently bought the Point Of View Geforce 3 ti200 card and I got some problems. There are some kind of graphic glitches in Counter Strike and Ghost Recon. Flashing white triangles similiar to the ones you see in the cinema. I´ve never overclocked it nor have I made any special tweaks. I got: AMD Duron 750Mhz Soltek 75KAV 512 MB RAM Intellimouse Explorer I use the 23.11 drivers and also use Windows XP. Pleeeease say that someone has a solution......

Thanks for the tips !!! I have already managed to work it out when using the tips above. I was wondering why it wont work without them ? There are other games that behave similiar to the ones mentioned and I thougt I would get to the root of the problem....oh well....

I think XP works quite nice. Except that I got these problems: Memory leaks: Games crashes sometimes and it seems to happen due to some memory leak. Like the one that happen i NFS: Porsche Unleashed(explained under GAMES compability on this site). Any tips ? The other thing is that quite often the installation procedure seems to fail. On diffrent games but in the same way as Baldurs Gate 2(Also explained on this site) Anyone know why ? I really hope they fix these two bugs. Then I would be a very happy gamer. Besides that I think XP suits my needs perfectly.

I also got the keyboard problem. I notice it the most when I strafe from side to side. It seems to be lagging whenever I change directions. Please help !! I´m a huge CS fan and I need to be able to play this game....gaaaahhh !!
