I'm in the same boat with this asus cuv4x-e. Latest bios update fixed that error in win2k, but not xp. Therefore im using standardpc =/ oh well.

Mine has gone into power saving ONCE. I forget to turn my monitor off sometimes and the thing is on for days. It would take MS to break something that was working fine.

Keep your os on it's own partition so when this crap happens you format your os' partition only and its not that big of deal.

Ok and still. This is posted in the XP area, yet it won't install on XP.

Is it just me or does this not install on XP even selecting windows 2000 compat?

The intellipoint 4 software that just came out last week or so has remedied the mouse for me.

What motherboard/chipset? My asus cuv4x-e w/via apollo pro133a and tnt 2 ultra bsod almost immediatly when using the 21.81 drivers.

Hibernation and System Restore. Disabled both and I've got almost a gig back.

New intellipoint 4 software fixed my ms optical mouse with HalfLife/CS. Almost feels as accurate and smooth as win2k.

+voice_dsound 1 worked for me.. Everyone can hear me clear now.

I've been through every series of detonator driver with my tnt2 ultra on xp and all give bsod's. The only stable driver for me is the pos that's installed with xp. I have been able to get the 21.81's to work for a short amount of time by forcing my card to 1x agp.

That last post really sounds like a funktified nic bugging out.

Well, even the 7.52 dies on me. I've tried about 20 different drivers and everyone of them bsod's at some point within a day. Some right away. It must be the combination of this asus cuv4x-e and viper770u card on xp. I'm fine if i leave the default driver from xp installed, but I need opengl. Oh well, this why i dual boot to win2k. =/

Their installer doesn't do jack.. Check all the file versions after you run it.. Everything is the same. In fact, if you go look at what it contains, you'll see that the only xp files are a few .inf's. The ide drivers in that release completely trash your hd speed. Do not install them.
